Wow, wow, wow. I recall people used to make fun of Kate in the late 70s. They called her a hippie because of her lyrics and her looks. She happened to come along a year or two after punk and so people had to try to find categories, to compartmentalize her.

But she defies all categories and genres. She's eternal. Listening to this it's like it was recorded yesterday.

Kate Bush's musical brilliance is undermined by her mostly egregious videos, particularly her choreography. It amounts to grotesque mugging masquerading as "interpretation". Perhaps she's so successful, that she's given free reign to express herself on "all" levels. Her work, if interpretation is required, needs a much broader canvas. She appears to be surrounded by toads who won't or cant tell her the truth. Hasn't hurt her bank account any, but this music demands better.
