I have to agree though about Gerrard's voice. It's not  because of the accent but because of the tone. On the pitch he always look stone hard and like someone you wouldnt want to meet in a dark alley at night. When speaking he makes a far more gentle impression. It's the same with John Terry, most notably David Beckham and Frank Lampard and Wayne Rooney to some degree. Their voices are quite high pitch for men of their size when come to think about it.
