@SpinyMcSpleen3264 Ya so true. Regis is a tight assed fake loser and is proof DE EVOLUTION happened. Just look at the downward spiral in corporate America today compared to 1979, and Regis with his tight assed right wing politics is the epitome of this.
@cliffandy LOL Ya when I first heard the song I thought it was 'step on a prick' too. Jerry just has bad annunciation. Its actually 'step on a brick' which is DEVO's take on the old saying 'Step on a crack, break your mammas back'
Regis has no idea how many soundtracks & theme songs Mark worked on. I think the way music became, that in itself was a reason for Devo to come out of semi-retirement.
@manfromregina "In 1980, for the Freedom of Choice album and tour, Bob1 had a customized blue Ibanez cloud/potato guitar made. It can be prominently seen in the Live 1980 DVD, the Girl U Want video and just about any live photo from the FOC tour." (from Booji Boy's basement)
@Pitumisio Cool another hard core DEVO fan from the beginning. Bobs Potatoe guitar is as cool today as it was 30 years ago. As Ive always said DEVO was always was ahead of thier time :)
Interesting music along with a fasinating concept called de evolution. It is interesting to watch the two hosts Regis and Joy's complete bewilderment when explained the concept of de evolution by Jerry and Mark. I did a little research on the resurgence of Devo and they have a much higher popularity curve than in 1977 when they began. Perhaps the web advertising from DevoVision is highly responsible.
@AskMrSpock Hey Spock how are you? Its a great performance and hilarious the way Regis and Joy have no idea who Devo are LOL. I think that your right bro on the popularity cuz of Devovision, that is a cool page :)
Ha! You can tell Regis and Joy have no idea what Gerry and Mark are talking about.... ha! Not their fault, I suppose. You can't be 100 percent aware of the career of every guest you have on the show. Still, funny stuff.
@PlaceSoFarAway Hi Glen how are you? Glad you enjoyed the new Devo video and thanks so much for commenting on it. Well I think that most talk show hosts research thier guests. Regis and Kelly are so...'middle of the road' and Devo is so 'out there' so it was fun to watch the contrast lol. I'm looking forward to seeing a new song from you soon. You need to post something new to show off that amazing voice of yours man :)
Here are two really hot performances, plus an interview from Devo. First is thier new song Fresh along with an interview. Next is thier 1980 classic Whip It. This was from Regis And Kelly on June 18, 2010 . Please sub, rate, enjoy and remember De Evolution happened just like Devo Prophesized 30 years ago!
DEVO deserves to be in the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame. They are that good and so is their music.

I hate Regis, but I love Devo.
People laughing at "devolution"... 30 years and people still refuse to believe devolution is real.

Oh, god, I bet they're sick of playing Whip It. Not that it's a bad song, but they are constantly asked to play it.
willscomix 4 months ago
@willscomix DEVO even said they'd wished Whip It never happened because it made them famous and it kinda went to their heads.
