Obama will wait and vote present until the personal advantage is clear. And, of course, he needs to spend more time with that douche Olberman. Probably gets from Olberman what Michelle won't give him.

I support what youre saying completely. the US will lose either ways, if they pull out now, the war will come to the US and if they stay, our economy will be more in debt, more soldiers will be risking their life. both ways we're losing americans, money, and terrorism will still be there. we need to stabilize afghanistans govt, in addition we have pakistan. 2 major terrorism groups the taliban (in afghanistan) and alqaeda (in pakistan) we cannot fight a war on 2 sides.we need the help of allies

BabySeal, "allies" is often a misnomer. It has been reported that elements of British army have been using Chinook helicopters to transport Taliban from southern to northern region of Afghanistan. "Allies" are using Afghanistan to do to the US what US did to Soviets in Afghanistan in 1980s.
Domestically, American can be protected but troops in Afghanistan is a no-win situation. Rebuild and saving domestic economy must be paramount. Terrorism mainly exists because of past US actions.

Al Qaida is a creation of American neocons. How should it be fought? It must be taken apart with US special operations forces, not the US military.
How to deal with Taliban? Prior to US and ally invasion, Taliban had gotten rid of growing of poppies only to see it back in business after arrival of British forces. Taliban can and is learning what's not good for Afghanistan. They should be allowed the chance to be part of government. US troops, first, need to leave.
