it depend on which alam you follow.there is several hadith that writes that the prophe(pbuh)did pray on a stone or a piece of mud or earth.others hadith say that he didnt.

so the hadiths contradict each other.you must find the truth.good luck with that brother.maybe you will not find the truth,but at least prepare for a good argument on the day of judgement of why you followed the path you followed.I have strong argumnet why I am shia .If you have any question then I am more than happy to answer

Well my friend you ok with what you are doing even i dont use stone but some of our muslim brother use stone because the want to put down their head on the put thing like stone ...God knows better you keep you prayer strong AND ask God to give you wisdom so you can distinguish between right and wrong
