This performance gave me chills. Of course a younger Whitney in her prime would have given a more brilliant performance (for those who lack comprehension skills, I DO believe this performance was brilliant), but she would not have been able to deliver a performance that is as soul stirring at this. It seems that no one is willing to state the obvious. Her voice has been terribly damaged. As remarkable as the human body is in terms of it's ability to heal and survive various types of assault, the voice is one thing that will always show the truth.
