Its a beauty but one wrong roll of the throttle changing gears and you could be doing wheelies ! I think it weighs in a t a few more lbs but your more then doubling the engine To me the 250 is the perfect beginner bike but thats just me
@divrack Stock 250 has 32HP and stock R6 has between 120-133HP...so more like quadrupling the power...and the top speed of the latest R6 is 172 stock...only 600cc supersport capable of it.

I love it. Can I recommend doing the motorcycle foundation course anyway? I've ridden for years and have raced in CCS. I truely believe that that course saves lives, but just as important, it's a fun time! Just some friendly advice, you two look great together. Keep the rubber side down!
@divrack thanks yes she took the course and gives private lessons and does not ride without all the gear This was just a trip around the block when i brought it home I missed my class and they wouldn't reschedule but im taking the refresher for advanced this spring. I agree I do forklift training myself andI KNOW i save lives
I love that shes wearing helmet i think it is the most important ever thats great but she is wearing the wrong type of helmet, those are rated for offroad use and probably wont be able to standup to a major hit to asphalt like that, i wouldnt be using it i would go get a street helmet quick, cus i think that thing would crack open like nothing. just a though, not sure, dont hold me to it!
@Gods7soldier Yea your right that was the first day out on it it was a moto cross helmet we had laying around. She wears a full face helmet know and she doesnt ride with shorts on anymore either well not often lol Although she likes them to for going to the beach and the mufflers cant burn her but she doesnt want to end up with road rash so she wears either heavy jeans , leathers and boots and gloves :)

she is 5'0 and she can JUST falt foot it but she only had it lowered a 1/2 " because she didnt want to effect the handling I "think you can go lower ask your dealer She had lowered buell balst she could flat foot easily but it wasnt nearly as nice a bike Whole differant animal I think you will be ok with the ninja but ill pass this on to her and she will give you the scoop
@avaathome15 she doesn't think so unless you can get it lowered about 1.5 inches we got ours lowered about 3 /4 and she can barely tip toe it but its light enough for her to move around

Two brothers 5 weeks old well she couldlnt resist of course and brought them home to add to the other cat and a rescued rottie. I disagree with Temple as well. It is a great bike even though it's only a "250" (which most people look down upon bc of this as well) It's a great beginner bike and also some people choose not to upgrade bc of how good the ninja 250 performs. People like to judge without even researching and think they know. That's just being cocky and ignorant. I love my ninja and don't plan on upgrading. I'm 5'2 @95 pounds, so it probably wouldn't be ideal for me to get something bigger.

You wasted your money on all those mods, not even worth doing. 250 is very impractical for speeds above 55mph, has no "get up and go"..... It's ok begginers bike, but you praise it like its the best bike, which its not. The CBR250's are the best 250 sportbikes period.
ok here we are a few months later this bike is the definition of FUN period ! If your looking to learn how to ride look NO further then one of these. It so easy to ride the gears are so forgiving, brakes are top notch& Shifting is like eating ice cream. I have a big warrior that will out run it in 2rd gear But i bought a stock one of these just to toy around on when i feel like playing around and she gives riding lessons on it. And it corners like like a slot car . Fun fun Fun
