@usacomputertec They could have probably done a better job with vector graphics though. Sure it would look a little plain, but it would probably be less choppy and make more visual sense.

I remember putting my C64 with this on, next to the Atari 800xl and watching the same games on each up against each other. I did this - they look similar but the Atari is faster. Same with Choplifter, Dropzone. This was in 1985.
I think after that time the designs of the games would be favoring the c64 with poor Atari conversion, (an exception being International Karate, which was also good on the Atari).
compared to atari pole position this sounds so wrong.

@usacomputertec They really did a horrible job of cloning this for the c64. They could have done it much better.

@16mmDJ I'm not sure about that. Maybe the C64 didn't have the same capabilities.

I always like Pit Stop for the C64 better at the time.

I preferred Pole Position II but wow that intro music at the begining brings back some great memories. Such a signature sound :)

This was awesome at the time, though not nearly as good as the arcade version. Still, I can't even think of the hours spent on this.

OUCH! Yeah, this version is incredibly bad. The 64 should have been able to do better than this! Even the sound is unbearable.
