  • I'm going to go on a limb here and say he's black.

  • @Austin you must be from the south but I don't care what kind of gift it is that a lot of money for some fruit.

  • I have a feeling that the same vines etc that grow say that melon also produced fruit that's much cheaper in other retail markets and that just the finer looking, feeling, an smelling etc etc fruit got the markup. Rule one in sales is don't sell 'X' for $100 when you can sell 'X' for $1000.

  • LOL i love black people

  • dick, fruit is given as gifts in japan, like us dickheads paying $50 for roses. They just flowers! Go to a 100yen shop, they got the ghetto fruit there for your cheap ass!

  • What about the Devil's Fruit Gomu Gomu?

  • So if you eat a $50 Mango then when you take a dump how much is your crap worth? LMAO

  • 4800 is almost $50 US or more most likely close to $55

  • no farms no food. support local growers.

  • Oh check out my Backward bowling Video! It's the coolest Bowling video that you will ever see!

  • Part 2: Making money is cool but living a health life so you can live long enough to spend and pass it on to your children is better. We eat all the mutated meat and fruit in the US and all the pharmaceutical companies make medical to fix our bodies that have been poisoned by all this crap we've been eating. I miss living in Alaska where I could either caught or hunt the food I needed. Those were the good old days.

  • Part 1: Look after eating food here and Japan and then going back to US and eating the same food I was like what the hell have I been eating for 40 year. We first need to stop shipping cheap fruit from other counties and start reinvesting back into American Farms. We have good farms but not enough. Plus when all we want to do is make money as fast as possible the all we have been doing is shooting all sorts of crap in our meat and lord knows what in and on our fruit.

  • black people are cheap

  • @tomank101 IMAO!!!!

  • I've had a few $200 dollar melons from the Yubari district of Japan. They are fucking ridiculously good. They are truly on "a whole new level". They are "S" tier.

  • man I'm not even graspin' what he's sayin'

  • i didnt know they had dumbass hiphopoghetto negros from america in japan...

who knew...? i guess i learn something new everyday.

    *the more you know...*

  • i would have agreed with you,if not for kaanzzzz, also if i hadn't gone to walgreens last night, where i saw a black guy taking coupons from from an unsuspecting old lady's shopping cart to get a discount on gum.he could have asked for the coupon, but stole it then threw the rest of em outside. for gum. if i may use your vernacular : yo that nigga is whack! (sorry if not accurate)

  • @nowintheaters

So you saw a guy stealing from and old lady, and did nothing?

You didn't even alert a more able bodied male/female to apprehend the man?

  • @langov3 wouldnt you expect him to do the right thing? i waited outside and asked for the coupons all he said was and i quote "pickem up yoself bitch"drop them on the floor and left. my 4yo picked them up,brought them to her and the old black lady said i stole them from her. happy now?

maybe if they only respected each other as africans but they act worse with their own.

i would have done it again, no reason to give up on them right?

  • @langov3 apprehend for coupons? that's as petty as what he did dont you think?

  • id gladly trade our cheap fruit for there expensive kobe beef =p

  • I'm going to go on a limb here and say this guy is black.

  • @Niberugi he is.

  • @Niberugi and i'm gonna go ont the limb and say you are white lol

  • @Niberugi or not lol

  • "MELON BAM! SIXTY DOLLARS!"

So I googled crown melon and the first result was "Crown Melon: How to Grow Melons That Could Sell for $200 Each!"

  • not all fruit in japan/korea is that expensive. what you see there is called gift fruit. its expensive because they pay extra attention to it. there are the cheap just to eat fruit still in japan but these ones are premium and taste a lot better.

  • Dude thats crazy bro.... i guess i wont think they lied no more.... i've seen it...lol wow....thats not to say or ask is that some thing every one in Japan can buy???? i wonder....

  • "we doin it big in the Japanese grocery store, real talk. "

  • The rip off store

  • Comment removed

  • the truth as to why it is so expensive is that they do not water it with water. They in fact, use my semen as plant food, resulting in extra sweet sweet delicious fruit.

  • OMG 4800 yens. thats like a whole dollar

  • @xxnotmuchxx It's actually about $61 by today's exchange rates.

  • @Tosteriffic ARE YOU FREAKING HIGH! theres a reason the length of life is in the 90's in japan. They eat small portions of lean, nutritious food. Did u see any fat people... no being fat is very frowned upon and different. White rice in curry is better than big mac's and severely obese people in the states.

  • Retarded American "Thank you Jesus for this great cheap food." Mexican Farmer named Jesus "Denada"

  • @jaiharman1 Shut the hell up

  • @illfaptothis Free speech mo'fucker. Not only Americans get the right to say whatever they like..... At least what I said if factual and makes sense.

  • @jaiharman1 So calling this guy retarded is fact? And you know for a fact that it came from a "mexican farmer named Jesus?" Aaaaaaaalright then buddy.

  • @illfaptothis It's funny how you can cherry pick part of what I say to debunk it but you know 100% that most of your fruit in America comes from Mexican farmers sweating balls for your cheap stuff. A little in comparison comes from imports.

  • @jaiharman1 100% huh? ALL from MEXICANS? Not Guatemalans? Sorry it's hard to pay attention to what you're saying when you have such a crude way of speaking.

  • @illfaptothis I hope you don't think horribly of Mexicans >.<

  • @jaiharman1 Please do not be so ignorant, you're gonna help give us mexicans a bad name. :\

  • Bam!

  • Oh Lawd! He did Skeer me...Dawg. An I did feel him. Aw Reekwiss diz shit nutZ wit a capital Z!

  • That guy can't even read the DIGITS in japan, are they really that different? Looked the same to me though :(

  • You sound like a chinese guy

  • Comment removed

  • oh but i can but would i want to fuck no i would rather grab some yakisoba or some yakitori

  • He could have investigated or asked why those fruits are expensive instead of mouthing his way throughout like a Bronx hooker. Just sayin'.

  • Thank you Jesus???? Do you actually think Jesus makes the American prices a lot less? If Jesus had anything to do with it people would be getting melons for free for everyone. grow your own melons, 50cents for a packets of seeds.

  • @melmarr22 Not everyone lives on a farm... You can't grow grapes or a watermelons on a windowsill in the city... -___-

  • That's awesome, I would buy it so quick just to feel like a pimp.

  • THANK YOU JESUS!

  • It's getting like that in the UK. Forget 5 a day.

  • doesnt the yen system typically work like american money just without the decimal if I'm right plz let me know. example, $5= 500yen

  • In America we love to buy as much as we can for as little dinero as possible. But no matter how much shit we get for cheap, it will always be cheap shit. Quality... It's the way to go.

  • Oh how I love living in Mexico and knowing that by going to a market I can get 1 kg. of Mangoes for about 1 US dollar, or a 4 kg. watermelon for less than 2.50 USD.

  • There are plenty of cheaper, lower quality fruit available all over Japan. Most of the time these fruits are given as gifts to bosses or other people you are trying to impress. The price tags are generally left on as to show how much you respect them. The fruit themselves are also of much higher quality than regular fruits.

  • These aren't for you to eat, though. This is gift fruit. You buy these for other people.

  • I had even seen a melon costs 28.000円 ($300) here in Japan.....

    it's crazy......

  • Man, it was just fun listening to this guy's commentary!! xDD

  • 1:32.....you sure those are peaches? They kinda look like asian pears....

  • @Fridgemusa Fuck you scum bag your just white trash I'm white and I respect others why can't you and the only reason why your saying it here is cause you'll get your ass dropped if you said it in real life you shit stain.

  • LOLZ! 48? LOLZ ITS 4.8 HAHAHAHAAAAAAA

  • @Teddy8084 no retard. 4800 yen. I'm japanese. More than 50 dollars.

  • @gimmiett its $45

  • ROFLMAO this is the funniest shit ever

  • those grapes are 4.80$ not 48$

  • That's nuts. Why would anyone want to live there.

  • wow, Americans should be glad we don't have to pay that much just to get fruit. I mean after seeing this video I sure as hell am. lol

  • I'd pay 10,000 Yen for that nigger to shut up!

  • @Fridgemusa I'd pay 0 Yen for this troll to shut up. I think I overpaid.

  • @Fridgemusa you're racist. you should be executed. oh and you're fat too.

  • Guys, really. Stop having this moneyarguments, remember that money keep changing all the time, and look what time this was uploaded, I mean, really, look up how much 1 dollar was worth in yen In aug 2010.

  • ugh, fking dipshit. PLEASE get better education. and kill ur old teacher.

  • The reason it's expensive is because (for example with melons) they will cut all the other melons off the vine, leaving just one melon. This one melon will typically absorb the sugar that would have otherwise been stored in the other melons (among other things), and this is why it tastes so much better than your regular everyday melon. The price reflects this because you are actually paying for the 10+ other melons they had to cut off the vine for you to be able to enjoy this ONE.

  • @Kaanzzzz is that actually true?

  • @Kaanzzzz have you tried that expensive fruit? Does it make a difference? 'Cause i would actually try it if that process made a world of difference.

  • @RosesofWillows

believe me, dude... it only tastes...... EXPENSIVE..... T_T

(I'm living in Japan for some reasons @,+')

  • @Kaanzzzz This is amazing. You need more thumbs up for this info. Just imagine the masterpieces of cuisine made with these. Must be the best flavors in the world.

  • @Kaanzzzz fruits don't work like that, in the level ,one melon could only absorb so much nutrients and most of the time you dont need to leave just one (melon) fruit on the branch, or watever you are saying. There are more sofisticated and eficients ways of doing so and many other countries apply these techniqes and sell fruits cheaper and many of them export their fruit to japan.

  • @891alonso Hey there thanks for replying! I do not know if this is truly how fruits work but this is what I was told by someone and it made sense to me! It may be wrong, though, I suppose. Fuck you faggot

  • @891alonso Actually, Kaanzzz is correct. The proper way to grow melons is to get rid of all but one melon per vine to get the peak flavor, etc, from the melons you grow. You don't *have* to do this, but it does make for much better quality fruit.

  • @Kaanzzzz Very interesting. Thanks.

  • @Kaanzzzz I have this japanese friend, he came to mexico and saw we eat melons everyday. He was too shy to eat them, he said he didn't had enough money to pay for it. You can say that their melon is better, but once he got the news that it's not expensive at all, he ate like 5 melons a day for his entire visit. He called his family and they couldn't believe it. He also said our melon tastes as good as theirs. So, 60 bucks for melon, them japanese guys are insane, you get a melon a dollar here.

  • 48 Japanese yen = 0.622656 U.S. dollars

    stupid retard

  • @ChrisA12356 Someone missed the 2 0's depicting it's 4800 yen...

  • Yeah these is premium, they got regular sh too

  • Comment removed

  • This guy is an idiot...There isn't a decimal, but that doesn't mean those numbers represent thousands....Sheesh.

  • I would love to play reeeeeaaaalll fruit ninja in that store :P

  • @ipaidforeverything Me Too LOL Saying that these prices are ridiculous

  • At first I thought you were just fucking up the exchange rates, but then I looked them up and it was worse than your guesses. What the fuck man

  • This guy apparently has never heard of exchange rates...

  • That is insane. . . I wonder how much Japanese people get payed on average? o_o

  • Inflation at its finest

  • Black people....

  • I can get melons for free here in Florida

  • In my country: grapes, watermelon and melon = 1$

  • show them how much square watermelons cost....21000 yen = 280 USD

  • That dude laughing in the background is funny

  • No yen is different. 48 there is 8 dollars here

  • BLACK PEOPLE GOTTTT DAMNN

  • now we know why japanese people never put on any weight.... they are always starving

  • they sell it for that much b/c apparently they are "perfect" and japense ppl like perfect stuff so... there's their reasoning behind the prices.

  • They taste very very very unique. Those are not what you can get from ordinally supermarket. Those are so special. Worth trying.

  • hey what's a brother doing in japan? weird.

  • @fcarabat

    he's probably in the military.

  • what a rip off... what's wrong with those people? they don't import fruits in Japan? or they just have 1 person growing these fruits in their backyard ? only in Japan...

  • @fcarabat These are hypo-engineered super-fruits. They have regular, cheap fruit there. Of course they do. What the bloke in this video clearly omitted was that he was in a specialty shop that sold hese genetically engineered fruits. Think about it logically for a second. If all fruit was this expensive in Japan you'd end up with a modern outbreak of Scurvy.

  • LOL

  • tracy morgan should have brought some bananas to barter with the gypsy

  • Lol Yens seem more exspensive than US money...

    Just Sayin...

  • WHY????

  • man u guys aint feelin me

  • lmfao

  • I do believe the square watermelons would retail for about 150 but that is awhile since i have checked

  • this is not real. its 78 yen no 7800 theres just no dot to break the number apart

  • wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • lol it's funny how the fresh food is so expensive in Japan. :D

  • hahahah what if the taste is worth it XD?

  • this guy is dumb but grapes at my supermarket cost 10 bucks that's pretty crazy

  • the way that thay have the banks set up or at least where set up thay could give you nine fake dolers for every lagidamit doller if you want to see what im talking a bout look up (Money As Debt-Full Length Documentary) Its here on youtube.

  • Ill bet its because thay dont trust ower currency and i dont blame them after all there has to be debt so that you can have money any more. Do you know what you do when you get a loan? you help creat money out of thin air and your signituer is the value awnest well besids your house cars or land that you might put up as colateral but the promes that you make to pay the money back plus interest makes your signiter valuble and thats why thay can give you money that didnt even exist before--
