Progress came too fast in the '60s and '70s, enraging conservatives (corporations, billionaires and their crazy middle class supporters) and prompting them to fund think-tanks and religious and racist grassroots movements beginning with Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan. I hope this latest conservative backlash dies soon.

but that just the problem, it's impossible for progress to come too fast. no one complains about technological progress being too fast. social progress should be the same, and anyone saying it's coming too fast would teach their children to be regressive stagnation society. social progress must push and be championed by all, no waiting for the next gen, the stagnation shoes will be filled, and look at who is breeding faster.
