FOLKS, QUESTION:

I write children's books and i've converted all my picture books to iBooks, I am wondering in all honesty - your own personal opinion, do you feel kids are truly reading books on iPads? (Kindles, Nooks)

If not now - do you really feel kids, schools, parents, will convert to e-readers? I've a ten yr old and it's a wee bit uncomfortable to hand her a $800 iPad, but I'm wondering if other people feel this way? Would love to hear everyone's reflections.

For publishers the Kindle is is better. Nook sucks if you are a author. They have more stuff then kindle but they are talking about crappy blogs.. Kindle is King .. I am a E book publisher. Way better. Nook is like the WII its hot at first but then you realize hey were are the good games at.. Nook suck if you are a e book publisher

@Donovandoit2me I plan on starting E Book publishing soon and was planning on getting an E Book but not sure which model to get. Could you explain about Amazon Kindle for me? Mainly about its benefits and pricing and what not- just curious.

@lordkremlore Well I think they treat everyone on equal footing. Kindle and IBooks are just a better then the nook for me. And more ppl have Ipads and Kindles. Translation more books can be sold on those platforms. Now I am still researching Ipad. But, for the kindle their pay option are like this. Direct deposit after you have earn $100. or they send you a check. You decide You can also search more info on youtube.

kindle 2 was "just a software upgrade" ????? This review is so inaccurate and poorly researched.. I found out more correct information in two minutes and I'm not a television company..

I did a lot of research and watched alot of reviews before buying an e-reader. But did you know that you can not use the Kindle to access FREE books from your local library using Overdrive. We all pay taxes that allow us to borrow free books from our local library and that does include new and latest bestsellers. Check out Overdrive website for a list of devices that allow you to borrow e-books from your library. Check with your local library and see if they offer e-books, some might not.

The nook can get things from the Library too. It might be more unknonw and a little hard of a process but i did it. Besides, i didnt even know Sony had an Ereader!
