However, you have to realize that if he got hurt both he and the show would lose money because they wouldnt be able to film for as long as he's hurt. The studio can't just trust him not to sue them, no matter how cool he is because they cant afford to lost money on things like this that can be avoided. They could get him to sign a waiver but then that puts the risk on Jason.

@1rralphh1 Answer- Skateboarding wasn't as popular (profitable) when Airwalk got it's start and Van's pretty much had the market wrapped up. I think their biggest mistake was trying to produce a cheap version of Van's. Companies like DC and Adio have come out with shoes that surpass Van's in a lot of ways.

Personally, I prefer Dickie's Vulcan skate shoes because I believe that skate shoes can never be heavy enough or wear out fast enough.

Ah... I still have this on VHS. I always loved this skit. Yes Airwalks use to be core but then so did skateboarding. Then it died , X games started up and then the corporations got involved , dumped tons of money into it and revived it with a COMPANY logo. Airwalk label was bought by a large corporation and now it is what it is ..... a corporation more concerned with the bottom line than skateboarding.
