  • wait. this actually uses air as a fuel source and not just some drill. that is fucking sweet.

  • 0:07 Holy SHIT!!!!!

  • I want that in my Honda, cause no oil required LOL nor coolant LOL

  • i would make a tank with type of engine but with longer tracks and suspension

  • ....run it on nos! get tiny spark plugs and a distributor!

  • What kind of lube do you use

  • Wher do you get the RPM gauge?

  • Didnt know legos could do that :D

  • when car enthusiast meets lego :D

  • now put it in a small car :)

  • Do you think it could run a mountain bike?

  • lol you should try making one lego car with it

  • Ah - I see you used the trick of gluing the teeth of the round-holed 16 tooth gear to an old style half bush! I refrained doing that with the engine I made; it ran like a dog caus the valves were all out of time... Next time, I'll just sacrifice some parts caus this is super smooth!

  • should make a lego gearbox for it

  • Sounds like a pissed of bumble bee. lol. good job bro.

  • future fuel of cars .... compressed air!

  • whith good ideas and some time you can build nearly everything with lego ^^

  • your a skilled little squerral arnt you!

  • sounds real!

  • where do you get these

  • @georgeh1231 in new zealand

  • what do you use to oil it???

  • @chadro85

    we use pure silicone oil.

3 to 4 drops dropped in compressor end of hose before running it.

this is keeping lubrication up for next 10 minutes.

you can then clearly see a fine spray of oil exiting the outlet valves

    on top of the engine.

if the spray is gone oil again.

  • @gemuesesuppe1 cool, i made a v8 model once (made of plastic but not lego) i used vegtible OIL around the cycleder and in the crank case

  • So does this run 4 strokes or do u modify it to run on 2 strokes instead since its pneumatic?

  • so this is how men play with blocks

  • Sounds like a GM V6.

  • TUTORIALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

  • @mgonzalezdom

    check user nicjasno

  • @gemuesesuppe1 Gib gummi^^

  • aaaaaaaaaaaabjhbchbvhdvybdshvbgyvcgdsyugcdsgagv

  • this can definitely power a honda hahaha

  • it would be awesome if you could make a tutorial on how to make one...:)

  • IMHO This is the best lego pneumatic engine, with the best sound on all Youtube...

  • @Mirasek999

its a great pleasure to hear that.

    thank you very much...

  • @Mirasek999 Yeah i agree there. All the others sounds so loud. This sounds so freaking smooth and cool. Dunno why. But i shouldn't say that cuz i can't even get a 3 inline to work.

  • Is this a real engine that uses real fuel? If it is, which fuel does it use?

  • @kixnet Yeah it uses real fuel in a plastic compartment made from lego..... HMMMMMMMMMMM

  • @szuhbi

    ;)

  • Hallo,

    MfG

    serbe011

  • @serbe011

    schreib ihn mal an!

  • plz make instructions for it or picturers of the key parts and send them to me so I kan make on e+ instuctions so you don't have to

  • Amazing, what do you use as compression generator? Have you used this engine one some lego vehicle? Thats a lot of RPM for lego, do parts like pneumatic cylinders wear on prolonged demonstration?

  • Have you tried a horsepower test, just for kicks and giggles?

  • Curious as to the camshaft arrangement you have. Does it have a function or is it an unnecessary extra?

  • @landrovercrazy

    full function

  • Hey Olli schau dir doch mal meinen V4 an.

  • sure its a high RPM, but how much torqe are you getting?

  • @123456789robbie

    hell a lot.

    cant stop it by hand.

    burn my fingertips

  • @gemuesesuppe1 thats pretty awesome, have you tried gearing it up to see how fast it can go? but dont go too fast, me and my uncle once connected a motor out of a sewing machine to a lego contraption, and we ended up melting the lego blocks touching the axel xD

  • @gemuesesuppe1 dude you MUST put this thing into a car with some steering and no tranny but some gearing,....you MUST..plz dude that would be fucking epic crazy..apperantly ur getting quite abit of torque out of this so you should most definatley try it..if you ever dicide to...my recommendation is run a long bike brake cable from the gear up to your thottle controller and hook a little wheel up to it..it will turn the cable and turn the gear witch will turn the car :D

  • @gemuesesuppe1 that's no torque, that's called friction

  • @CenturyGoth18

    sorry.

    you didint get it...

  • @CenturyGoth18

    wow.

he meant that if its so hard to stop, then that thing got TORQUE

  • @AlexRmetroid

    yeah,

    you are the man.

thats exactly what i wanted to say.

    greetz

  • @CenturyGoth18 But its the torque that keeps the engine going when he tries to stop it

  • its funny because its legos.....

  • können uns eine Email an: melafeletto@yahoo.it

mit der Erläuterung, wie der Motor funktioniert

  • looking at lego engines reminds me of a stupid projekt...

i mounted a screw driver motor to some lego parts by customising the engine shaft, and those motors are really strong, so in 2-4 seconds it grinded the connecting thing from the motor to the "mechanism" and twisted all the pins, but didnt grind any gears (luckily)

i think i geared it to high -.-

still it was fun to see 2hours of work get destroyed in a second :D

  • i put graphite on all my lego moving parts, its clean and doesnt hurt plastic.

  • try a little graphite powder on all moving parts and i bet it will function quite a bit smoother!

  • @vulture2600

    thats really a good idea.

    i will try this

  • have any instructions?

  • sounds like the 2003 toyota highlander

  • Wow! If a real engine started that suddenly, it would blow! Great sounding lego engine. never thought Lego would sound so good.

  • why dont you put it in a lego car?if you can create this i dont see why you cant make a real working lego car.

  • nice have you done it by your self, or have you order it on lpepower.com

  • @dacke93

    all by myself.

the engines on lpepower have push rod design for

    valve timing. mine is DOHC.

    greetz

  • @ Gemuesesuppe1 can you please explain the difference for someone who doesnt know what they are?

  • @WpA09

valves with pushrod timing are fastened to the "camshaft" mechanichally. there is a direct link to the part which forces the valvepin.

with camshaft timing there is no form-closed connection between the cams and the valves.

its more like a modern ICE (Internal Combustion Engine).

  • @gemuesesuppe1 How is a DOHC engine more like an ICE than a Push rod engine and a DOHC engine is is still mechanically linked to the valves they just are using less parts to do so

  • how much in American money?

  • @YouAlexTube10 Was denkst du?

  • Double Overhead Camshaft?

  • Double Overhead Camshaft?

  • HOW DID U MEAKE IT !!!

  • how to make this engine...?? do they have some kits or something..???

  • Your engin seames to run more smoothly then others but i was wundering wat the spacing is for the voulves? Email me if you get around to it.thanks

  • can you buy a kit to make it???

  • sounds like an airplane engine

  • fuck me sideways ! nice sound

  • attach a propeller to tha and it will literally fly away!

  • I wonder, when someone'll make a "v8 lego engine" powered bicycle/scooter/moped or so? lol

  • how much?

  • @SuperMrS2000

at ebay it was for 350€

  • i buyed

  • have muth will you have for then

  • dont they melt as its made of platic with all that friction

  • scania v8 ale świetne Super!!!!!!!!!

  • is this still for sale on ebay, if so can u post the link

  • how much??

  • verkaufst du auch die speed controller einzeln ?

did you sell the speed controller ?

    Olli

  • go kart.......with a lego engine

    =win

    if it worked

  • wow

  • Can you add a flywheeel for better engine control?

  • maybe,

    did not try this yet.

i´ll tell you when i found out more

  • it would be awsome if it could run a car :D

  • SOunds like an airplane

Wieviel Bar verwendest Du und was habt

daran modifiziert dass sich das so anhört? Echt cool! :-)

  • please sub

  • @ zer0pixel: hehe yes really nice sound XD

    @ gemuesesuppe1:

  • Sounds like a Corvette. Really awesome!

  • first of all let me say i love this motor. But i have a few nub questions.

    1. I see a DOHC setup, but the cams are on the inside of the V not ontop of the heads. Is this a flat head style block?

    2. Is this actually an ICE running on fuel? If so what kind of fuel and how do you get by heat issues?

  • hey,

    to 1:

this is construction-related. the engine could also be build with the cams on top of the heads but this way its more space-saving.

    to 2.

no this is no internal combustion engine.

this engine is powerd by compressed air.

its called LPE - LEGO Pneumatic Engine.

hope i could answer your questions

  • does anyone know if this are kit engines and were i could find one

  • @blc6363

    hey,

unfortunately these engines are not available as kits!

every piece is bought from all around the world.

many people don´t have the number of pieces you need, so you have search a lot and pay high prizes.

you should be ready to invest a minimum of 200€.

    greetz

    Oliver

  • google lpe they are over $400 lol

  • WOW awesome :O

I really love the sound :D

  • try to make a car with that engine

  • instrcution is on brickshelf

  • sounds like an old engine! a real one!

  • it sounds like a freakin small block chevy.. SO badass!!!

  • Very impressive...WOW!! Lego's sure have come a long way...lol

  • do u guys think you can build a lego rotary engine?

  • i see all these engines...but i have yet to see a lego dragster or something...that would be epic to create the whole car from legos...

the motors themselves are impressive though

  • ha ha lol good one

  • wer would u go about buying an engine like this please

  • 450€

  • wow the transfer of power it instant! could you put a exaust system on this to make it sound even better?

  • Comment removed

  • the cylinders dont have an exaust outlet that you can attach a tube to

  • how high is the air pressure for this engine when it runs at max rpm ?

  • Best sounding lego engine out there.

    Sounds almost real!

  • Thank you very much...

    greetz from Germany

  • do u get more torque by using a geartrain like a v8 engine than if you just use the motor?

  • sure, but it depends on wether you want more torque or more rpms.

a gearbox is good idea, but the engine has so much power even in idle that this would not be necessary at all (can´t stop by hand).

    greetz from germany

  • Sounds like a WW2 fighter plane engine:)

  • @vito1860 well it's got almost the same redline as one

  • how much would the kit cost

  • Cool! I really like that sound!

  • how many hp?:)

  • 400 Lego power

  • @nordmensch

haha correct; really pretty engine, if he has 4ps, you could drive it in a ltlle cart-car; and drive withhim

  • sounds like a v8 SHO taurus

  • would you be able to make a small air compressor and attach it on the engine?

  • not an lpe lego compressor. these engines use loads of air. i'm lucky i've found a small high volume air pump that pumps 3 bar. Perfect for lego pneumatic engines

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • Dude where did you buy this engine ? Can you send me link or something?

  • The background screams really add to it

  • that sounds awesome

  • howd you make the timing/valve asembly?

  • how long did it take to build it?

  • best sounding lego engine iv'e heard so far!

  • ha zero emissions, choice.

  • best sounding lego engine i have ever seen

  • hey there,

thank you very much, we appreciate you like it.

    greetz from germany

  • yeah true dat

  • does it say 1840 rpms?

  • 1940 i think was the most it got

  • looks like its jumping from a little friction. try some mineral oil or 3in1 oil and you should get much higher rpms.

  • how ciliners r u using to make it run 0_o

  • sound like a plane

  • sounds better than LPEpower's engine! GREAT

  • Holy crap, that thing just burst into action, no slow start, that must be very solid to jump start like that.

  • nice

  • all it needs is a big truck to power :P

  • 1920 rpms nice

  • thanks

watch ollis lego V8 faster run.

    there is does 2460revs.

  • just love the startup, no lag whatsoever

  • sounds like a generator...

  • how many RPM's?

  • Great sound:)

  • mmm nice sound ;]

  • yeah sound is nnice^^

  • how many hp is that lol

  • i like the sound, hehe

  • Art.

  • nice noise
