My front shifters used to do this every now and then. when sunlight was filtering thru the trees at a certian angle. it was really weird. I used to shit myself when it happened.
Not long after the thing stopped receiving radar for some reason and they replaced the radar receiver and the junction box under warranty. never happened again after that.
It ended up being moisture in a head, my installer replaced it for me and all is well.
@Jackcc5 - the "truelock" feature in the 9500ci is only for Radar. The LIDAR system always alerts at full volume and power because it's not a common source of false alarms (something has to be aimed at you to make it go off).
If shopping centers started using LIDAR-triggered automatic doors, this would probably change in the future. :)
Sometimes, you get false laser signals because of certain taillights. For some reason they send out infrared pulses almost Identical to laser (lidar) pulses, thus your shifter reacts. In your case you have a jammer with your system, so not only will your detector go off, but your jammer will also be activated.
Cry baby.

Infiniti's use laser for their intellignet cruise control. So maybe the 9500ci is picking up a non Lidar source.
