they're fictional characters. you're not supposed to feel hurt for them. in dbz piccolo is always standing alone in the middle of nowhere, so there's a running gag in abrided that he's desperately lonely. they combined that with the yoshi joke and the "tien is always serious" joke here and I think it was funny.
