  • You are very articulate and your video response was well thought out and concise! Stay strong my brother...we need more like you... you are an inspiration!

  • I know people who are stereo typically not beautiful who aren't nice too...but good video, good point

  • If u have color on your skin ru black?

  • Good video. I don't see why being an albino is sooooo beautiful. It's abnormal to have no pigment in neither your skin or hair.

  • Will you marry me? my gosh you explained this on a perfect level. Who with a right mind could disagree with this.

  • Lovely, intelligent video. Thanks for posting!

  • great video

  • Love this video.

  • you should be teaching sociology at college

  • Sending this to all my girls!!!! Btw I'm nappy and happy with it. Yahoooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Couldn't love myself more!!

  • Man i love your video. I couldn't agree with you more. Geez.....Gosh.... You are echoing my thought. I just want to hug you right now!! God bless you man! One love!

  • BET is owned by Viacom. The CEO's are white. We force-feed you every aspect of your bullshit hip-hop culture. Thanks for making us money while removing yourself from the human gene-pool at the same time. Nobody admires black people except impressionable white youth with a white guilt complex. Same with Asians and Hispanics ripping nig hip hop culture, it's because they try to assimilate into youth culture of the US. Hip-Hop was popular in the US at that time. It's not a race thing its a fad thng

  • i know this is late but ur so right...

  • i agree with this video 100%

  • A women can foxy on the outside. But be ugly as hell inside !

  • Beauty is a problem for most people because they make it a problem? beauty make billions of dallors yearly because most people think they can buy it. The

media makes you a slave to beauty' it

shows you what they say beauty is?

when actually beauty is within you): its

the belief in your self that radiates TRUE BEAUTY.

  • so i see hispanic and asains white dudes dressing just like rappers wanting to be rappers but still hating blacks so just because someone likes rap dont mean nothing

  • EXACTLY i dont kno why most negroes think that

i mean look at the movie ms.evan's boys about the negro genicide when they thought just cause that white boy went to black clubs that he likes negroes

white ppl always loved negroes i mean obsessed w/ negroes entertainment . aint nothin new under the sun.

  • so true... there were some white guys riding around playing rap music and calling black ppl niggers at the same time.... made me think of what my grandmother once told me...how they hate blacks but love the hell out of rap and r&b music.

  • peace brother. i agree, what a beast it is that people would destroy themselves to become a part of it. lovin the badu jam in the back too! you be love.

  • i love your take on natural black beauty. What is your opinion on spiritual beauty, and the black woman?

  • This video was amazing brother!!!!

  • Thanks for the kind words and thanks for watching, family.

    Be safe

  • thats true man

  • OHHH UR WELCOME!!!!and thank you for ur wonderful knowledge brotha, keep doing what you do and plz continue to post more websites that i can go visit.

  • loove ur vids.

    this one is soo inspirational

    kewlkewl12 ur very ignorant!

  • Thank you much sister!!!! I am really feeling that screen name of yours too.

    Be safe sis,.... ...Ink

  • Beautiful!

  • O please THEBRIGHTBLACKPERM so you saying relaxers make you ugly because your not natural. Please I don't beleive it. Sorry. I don't wear weaves I just relax my hair and it's healthy long and shiny. What's the prob;em. I know personally it's just easier to manage. Why does that have to mean I hate who I am. My features definatly dont look black but my skin is. I look more indian but that was my point.Lol

  • I never said you are ugly because your hair is permed, sister, and I don't hate on females because they have perms. This video simple states that Perms are unhealthy for you because of all of those Toxic chemicals in them that straightens the hair. They seep into your scalp, just like anything else you put on your scalp and skin.

  • I never said you hate yourself either. Most sisters are simply never taught that their natural hair is beautful. Instead taught that it is hideous and they must fix it. Fix what "The Most high" decided they should have.

  • Being more managable is a matter of personal experience. The problem is our sisters want to "Manage" their hair the way white people "manage" their hair. Think about it. Withour little girls, we can give them a hair style, and it will last for weeks untouched and look great. And braided hair looks great for months and months, But sisters with perms have to do SOMETHING to their hair everyday, or it will be a mess.

  • Women never have any problems with the structure of their hair when it is natural, however women with perms deal with breakage, scalp issues, and many eventual experience hair loss in older age. hair is not suppossed to fall out to th epoint when WIG are manditory, but how many of our old women must were them. I am not about bashing you or any other sister, so please don't be offended.

  • As far as those features you have, Trust me If you are BLACK you have BLACK features. The thing is, What are Black feature? Blacks have had a wide variety of diffrent types of feature since the begining. All other racial features are a derivative of BLACK features.

  • The most extreme example I can give you is that even ASIAN features are watered down AFrican features, if you get a chance Google "Khoisan". These are the Africans that the Asians actually are descendants of. Their eyes are slanted and everything. You may think they look like Brown Asians, but the truth is, Asian look like them,...US. Be safe sister.

  • Beauty is a ilution of what you hear and people say is beautiful.

    I early times, perhaps 30 000 BC, I don't remember.

People tought it was beautiful to be fat.

  • HEAVY! You know, my sister told me that in Africa the Chinese are taking over the clothing market place. They are making Rasta clothing in China and cutting the true African Rastas out. BUT GET THIS! Chinese in Africa are now claiming to be Black; yes, really! She is pissed off. Your vid is 100% true. FIRM FIST! My wife is White but that does not stop me from being of the beautiful brown Earth.

    Uthando Bhuti!

  • who cares were all humans.

  • 5 rate.

  • 5*****

  • THE BEST BEAUTY THAT THE CREATOR HAS GIVEN YOU...WILL AND ALWAYS WILL BE...you natural beauty!!!

  • You had me following you up till the claim of "Envy". I have many black relatives in my immediate family, but that statement is not completely true. Racism is planted into the brains of children very early by evil, ingnorant people that hate, simply because they DON'T like what they see. I'm a person of color (brown) and have been a victim of racial slurs and physical attacks by ALL colors. So much wasted effort on appearances. Racism starts at home with the parents and the cycle perpetuates.

  • I'm glad I saw this vid, I decided to grow locs about a month ago. I'm letting my perm grow out because I don't want to cut all my hair off....lol. I'm getting alot of new growth very fast, so right now, I just use kinky hair extensions unitl I get enough new growth to loc my natural hair. Thanks for this vid.

  • I agree with what you have said however I dont think it should matter if someone wears their hair natural or not. Plastic surgery and eating disorders is one thing, getting hair relaxers is another.

  • I hear you sister. The reason people are AGAINST hair relaxers is for Two specific reasons.

1st. If a female feels like she can only be her BEST when she has a perm and her natural hair is unsightly, then she has a problem with her NATURAL SELF, and that is The Bigest problem you can have.

  • 2nd. Relaxers change the texture of your hair by chemicall altering the the natural hair provided by our DNA. It is worst than straightening it with heat. You are changing it on a cellular level. The chemicals used are higly toxic to many and are carcenogenic. The chemicals cause hair loss and permanent scalp abnormalities. These chemicals soak into your scalp just like any other hair grease or oil you put in you hair, so you are absorbing that Lye and the various other chemicals.

  • It is the most unhealthy thing you can do to your body, worst than smoking a "pack a day".

I don't condemn female that perm by any means, but I DO WANT THEM TO LIVE. And I do hope that they can grow to love who they are and what they have in stead of trying to create an illusion that mimics another race of people to be acceptable.

  • You make complete sense. I have to tell you that you've opened by eyes. I am so thankful that you replied to my comment with the simple word "not", without that reply, I would not have seen this video. You've tought me something here for which I am grateful. Peace.

  • Thank you, i cut my hair off a month ago and been rockin a short cut most ridiculed me but those who appreciated what i did and why i did praised me becaus they no its hard to walk around looking like how i did in a society that tells us we r not supposed to look like a certain way and be confdent actually made me beautiful

  • Man i been seeing your videos and you really are on the right path. youve nailed it on the head. makes me proud to see people breaking stereotypes and showing the real beauty in all of us

  • I'm speechless. Excellent video.

  • Thank you proteanview

  • Thank You 4 sharing my brotha! Very One Is Beautiful, I don't know who in the hell set the standard 4 beauty, but they need to be punished ....One Love

  • You are SO right! I am a dark skin sister, as you know, and when I went to Puerto Rico they LOVED me! But irregardless of the approval from other it is MOST important to love yourself.

Very interesting response. I feel you on it!

  • Speak on it!! It's a shame how we don't see ourselves as beautiful because the mainstream doesn't consider us as such. Everything from tans, to dreads, to lip/butt implants on people other than us is proof positive that we are envied, although we aren't considered "beautiful". Keep up the good work. God bless.

  • Thank you for your comments and support sistah

  • Wow, I didn't know that about the Asian eye surgery. I knew that they have strong creams to lighten their skin and it has been banned. What you said is so true about anorexia, beauty, etc. It is the "ego" that we are trying to fulfill. The never ending desire for more. Exclusivity, being different. Whether it is buying things, how we look, or what we have.

  • People like you remind me that there is something to live for; regardless of the seemingly hopeless and uncaring eyes of society. Also, I want mention that I am white because I want you to realize how your pure and non-prejudiced (yet educated and logical) words can touch anyone, anywhere; no matter what their skin color may be. Please continue to enlighten; for it is needed...

  • Thank you for your comments and kind words. I appreciate it all. Thank you for the encouragment to keep trying to enlighten people as well. I am sure you and I both will do our parts. Peace

  • I just recently started on my natural journey.

It has been the most freeing thing I've ever done!

I like your style brother. And I loved the "love letter" vid.

    Sweet!

    Peace, Love, & Light,

    Vee

  • Thanks for the compliments, sistah. I 'm digging you style too. You should post more videos.

  • that is a beautiful man....lol

  • i'm so very proud and feel thankful to God/Allah for my BLACKness! and beauTful black men like yorself callng attention to th reality tht WE [the original God-created entities]must rise above th trappings of the'flesh-incarcerated'status quo in order to come full-circle to reach a place of true black self appreciation. keep it coming! 1LUV

  • Thank you for your comment , Your veiw, and your kind words. You prove to me that there is hope out there, because sometimes I wonder. Be safe,...sistah

  • The thing is what the media promotes as the "norm" is not really the norm. The majoriy of people in America do not look like what the media promotes as beautiful. I agree with your sentiments and I really like your vibe. I don't hear many black men talk like you. Keep on being positive and stay beautiful.

  • Thanks for the comments and kind words. Don't be afraid to come see about me for time to time. Be safe ...Ink

  • True video keep doing what you doing.........

    Bless

  • Thank you for watching and for the great comment. Be safe...

  • nice video its so true good job

  • Thanks for noticing my efforts.. and thanks for the comment

  • The bombardment of images has defiled our consciousness on all three levels. These constant disturbances have severely undermined our 'quietness' of moments to cherish and love ourselves in order to heal and restore the image & likeness of the Most High Creator within us. You have put it in such beautiful and loving words thanks. Bless

  • Thank you for the comment,... and you too have added more enlightenment to my video simply by replying with this comment. It's powerful!!!

    Thanks for sharing

  • I can respect how you feel. Beauty is different to every person though. What you may find beautiful someone else may not. Most people have something that they don't like about themselves and it does not always have something to do with wanting to be like someone else. Just things that they feel could be better. Most people just keep it to themselves and pretend as if everything is okay. This was a really good video though

  • Thanks for enjoying the video. I don't think people shold think the way I think. I just think people should really evaluate why they think the way they do, and what things may have molded the way they look at the world in general.

I love that you have a minsd of your own tho,..so keep those good videos coming.

  • "They hate us 'cause they ain't us..." I love that (It doesn't apply to everyone but there are some haters who 'fit the description')

  • True. You can never generalize a whole group of people. The "THEY" referred to in that phrase is just those HATERS"

  • lovely.

  • Thank you for the comment...

  • Im loving this.

  • Thank you for the comment sxyallday

  • I am with "cenellyce " wow so well said. ty Tash

  • thanks for the comment sistah.

  • that was beautifuly said... go ahead brotha im natrual...holla... lol just kidding...but what u said is so true

  • Thanks for the comment. And I am glad for you,..that you have chosen to embrace your NATURAL self. I just think we need to start making our own desicions about who we are, and we should question many of the things that we have been LEAD to beleive about ourselves. {We must define ourselves for ourselves, or else be crucnhed into other peoples fantasies of "US" and be eaten alive}

  • great video!! Nice song you got playing too :) Have a great night. :)

  • Thanks for the comment

  • Beautiful video response...also luvin' the Badu in the background! :)

  • Thanks for the comment. And Yeah that Badu joint is THE TRUTH. I love that song.

  • did u remove this video and repost it again?

  • Yes. Since there was a problem that was causing a malfunction when people tried to post comments, I figured re-posting it may solve that issue and It seems to have worked.
