Jerry Sadowitz who appeared in Terry Hall's Terry Blair&Anouchka's video of Ultra Modern Nursery Rhymes, complained that this video infringed his copyright,
I removed Jerry and replace his appearance with graphic animation. It's taken 5 months!
Although angry with Jerry, I am also grateful because, I would have never learned Adobe After Effects and animation.
Jerry's replaced by a number of colourful characters! Marc Bolan even makes an appearance! Bet he won't complain??!
Hi Nick! You are great. And I absolutely love this song. Any hope for a later than later regrouping of Haircut 100? I love them and I love your solo stuff too, but I like Disney sequels sometimes too. What do you say?
@renegadereposter On January 28th 2011 one of Britain’s iconic new wave bands from the 1980’s will reform for a special one off show to perform their debut album.
4 of the original band members, Nick Heyward, Graham Jones, Leslie Nemes and Blair Cunningham will reunite for this special performance at London’s superb indigO2 venue.
They will recreate their trademark funk-pop sound with the performance of the entire Pelican West album.
This was one of the highlights of 1989. The lyrics, the piano, and the light violin touches make this one of my all-time favorites. It easily stands up to the other best tracks of that year: "Getting Away with It," "Strange Kind of Love," "Nothing Has Been Proved," "Keep On Movin'" and all the others.
I totally endorse your comment. From the piano intro through the "blue eyes" chorus to the "will i see you again" ending this song is a gentle masterpiece of melancholy.
I wonder if he has or will revisit it sans 80s production? A stripped down version would be wonderful to hear. On that note why not check out talk talk I Believe in You?
Lovely song.
