Bart Oates, Steve Young's teammate in 1994 and 1995 (center), had his law degree AND passed the bar during those seasons.
Alex Smith got his BA in two years with a 3.71 GPA.
A player on Florida State's college football team is a Rhodes Scholar for Oxford, I believe.
Also, nearly all pro football players have college degrees, so there is bound to be some intelligent people there.
Stop with the stereotyping. It is unbecoming of intelligent people.
