I wonder if his spear was based off the Gáe Bulg spear in irish mythology. Totally agree with the top comment on a movie based around Nuada, his character is one of the deepest 'villains' i've seen in a fantasy movie & his backstory is already right there.

That and celtic mythology has been largely untapped in movies despite its richness

Well, motivation of war usually revolves around the fact that one man or a bunch's desire for power or resource. However...one must take into account that whatever the outcome is, their intentions are mainly for the good of their country. At least what they think is considered as good thus gaining more land = more resource + more freedom.

Though killing and suffering of course exists as an ingredient of war, but that does not change the primary goal.

Secondly: -_- what made you guys think he is a villain, yes...yes he opposed the protagonist of the movie. So what. He is a warrior elf and a prince, for him to uphold his loyalty and responsibilities he chose to protect his race. That doesn't make him a bad guy, if your country came to war with another, surely you would fight and protect your country, does that make either side bad?

Maybe it's off the topic, but the description is wrong... It sais that Nuada bowed to hellboy in the end... But he never did such a thing. He refused to acknowlege somebody else even if he lost. He would never let anybody to harm his people or his pride. If there wouldn't be for his sister he would have killed hellboy in the end. We all know who the true king is!

@2wingo id have to disagree there, although luke does have very nice technique, he lacks the ability to use both hands the way someone who plays drizzt would have to. and he has a good look for a white elf, but dark elves have dark skin, and i dont think his face would look as elvish if it were black or dark purple.
