  • im curious why rbf doesnt cover any of these songs at their shows......

  • My friend introduced me saying ' it was the anthem too her life.' thanks Maddie :}

  • now that there uploaded watch there cd's sells go down lol

  • awesome :)

  • I lol'd at the parental advisory sticker on the cover

  • The singer from RBF made this band after he thought Cheer Up would fail.

  • Who cares what wave it is or any of that. Its a damn good song. Leave it at that :)

  • this is third wave ska, streetlight are also third wave ska, this shits old, can anyone really be in a bad mood listening to ska?

    ska saves

  • this is how i feel every day of my life

  • ya really good song but really skipping

  • Ya it skips

  • It's such a shame a majority of people don't know/don't care about ska...

  • @drumslayer27 "ska is mostly a reggae mixed with punk or just punk with horns"...seriously? You do realize ska was a genre before reggae, right?

  • Comment removed

  • @drumslayer27 Even if third wave ska, there is no reggae involved and even someone who loosely follows/listens to the genre knows that. Silly kids.

  • Streetlight is hardly ska. Third wave ska is notably simplistic and mostly meshed with punk. While Streetlight follows this basic formula, every aspect about them is far from simplistic (incredible horns + harmonization, strong basslines, and by far some of the best drumming in the field.. unfortunately not much great guitar work). The only album remotely close to ska is Keasbey Nights.. but we all know the story behind that :)

  • @lolthatguy123 I'd say it's ska, but like a new evolution of ska. We've had 3 waves of ska so far, who knows; maybe Streetlight Manifesto are the starters of a fourth wave?

  • This is like Slipknot lyrics over Sublime music.

  • This song is skipping. Scratchy source or bad upload?

  • @RattyRandnums Basically I found this band on some random pay to listen website after finding and hearing a single song on Youtube, so I ripped all the songs from that site, I plan to upload some good quality songs.. I'm just really lazy..

  • lol I thought you used some kind of recording software to directly record the MP3s from your computer, *while you were playing them*, AND getting a bunch of MSN messages on the side (hence the random sounds)

  • @Chrono355 waiting

  • Watch a streetlight manifesto interview and all you retards arguing about streetlight being the fourth wave will find out that thomas is a douche who doesnt even consider streetlight a ska band.

  • love this song. fuck all you motherfuckers fuck you

  • I think the new big d album album is more fourth wave than streetlight

  • Possibly the best chorus ever

  • This is like the soundtrack to my life.

  • @hehehayhay No, you suck MY dick, bitch

  • Ah, I do enjoy this song. So anti-social it is.

  • I like the part where he said fuck.

  • When the fuck does he say fuck in this fucking song?

  • in the chorus :)

  • sorry i must have missed that part :/

  • no, it's the shit

  • best song ever.......

  • Aaron Barrett wrote a song about me it looks like

  • You're so vain...

  • Who is?

  • That was too some guy on the previous page, he said, "Aaron Barette finally wrote a song about me..." in reference to the Carly Simon song.

  • i think you just listed all of the good ska bands

  • Upstanding Youth is probably the best one with a sound sort of like that. Less Than Jake and Rx Bandits are also amazing and deviate a bit from the sound, while The Toasters sound like a real, genuine first-wave ska band and are amazing for it.

  • The Toasters souns nothing like a first wave ska band. They sound like the first, third wave ska band! What you're trying to get at with the RX Bandits is the breaking into of fourth-wave ska, which is being led by the Bandits and Streetlight.

  • Yeah, the toasters are the first band to successfully break into 3rd wave ska. there is no 4th wave yet though... the 3rd wave would have to completely die off before a 4th wave could occur. They're just 3rd wave bands with some of their own, unique sounds thrown in.

  • Eh i tend to diagree. Streetlight Manifesto is defiantly getting to fourth wave. Think of the catch-22 song, Riding The Fourth Wave!

  • lol streetlight is the ultimate in ska if not music as na whole! love them!

  • @pizzaman3210 watch the thomas interviews. He says his music isn't ska..

  • @wanger57 well wether he likes it or not streetlights is....his solo stuff isnt...but thats acoustic so....

  • I've heard this debate before with Streetlight Manifesto and forth wave and I just laugh. Come on, Streetlight relies heavlily on the punk with great horn lines.. It's going to have to break out of the punk rock for me to consider a new wave of ska music, and then other bands will have to be doing something similar. Streetlight IS a great band, but nothing too terribly different from what was big back in the '90's

  • I dunno. It's different. It's almost orchestrated and it's far more original than anyband before. It increases the speed of the usual ska guitar to a whole new usage. The horns are unlike any before. I stand by my belief in Streetlights break into the fourth wave.

  • Could someone please tell me where I could download thsi song? ._. tyy.

  • I saw it on limewire.

  • Love this song.

  • lol this song is exactly how i feel hahaha

  • lol, same :DD

  • hmmm... i just watched the a&e biograghy of jeffrey dahmer and ted bundy. i guess ill go to sleep

  • Incredible song!

  • Ska, Where have you been?

  • I know ;(

  • I miss you, ska...

  • no similarities to rbf here. nope. none at all.

  • You do realize Aaron Barrett was a member of Forces of Evil, right?

  • yeah, i was being sarcastic. what i really meant by that was that they sound almost exactly like rbf (which matt wong also says on the commentary for their live dvd).

  • Oh, cool. I did not know that! (They do indeed sound a lot like RBF)

  • Yeah. Aaron was afraid that RBF was "going to tank" after Cheer Up, as it differed so much their sound

  • that's why he made the Forces of Evil

  • cheer up was such an awful cd haha im glad they did this band for a bit, i really like it =D i wish they stayed with this to be honest, i love reel bug fish but i perfer this stlyle of their ska similar but idk this is better some how haha

  • turn off AIM when you record next time, its really jarring and annoying

  • I love this song!
