it depends on what method of shaving you started with hence i have to use the wet shave method but if u wanna avoid razor burn use aftershave balm i recommend nivea better for ur skin

I am a female barber. Great video! Here are more tips to add to your awesome video. If you have a problem with hair bumps use rubbing alcohol or witch hazel everyday; preferably twice a day. Make sure you pat it on, don't rub, with a fresh towel every time. Also, even better, apply a, hot as you can stand it, towel to your face for about 3-5 minutes before you shave and pat dry. Apply a hot towel every other day in the morning, clean your face, then apply a cool towel to close your pores.

The warm towel will help to soften hair without irritating the skin. For some, rubbing might irritate the skin. The warm towel will open up the pores, allowing for a deeper clean. The cool towel will close the pores and help protect from bacteria getting deep into the skin. The warm/cool towel combination keeps skin young and taunt. The alcohol and witch hazel are astringents, they keep the face clean and pores tight. That should help direct hairs correctly out of the follicle and prevent acne.

Trust me, it is not just girls who will use your disposable razor to shave whatev and not tell you. I had a guy long time partner who would use my disposable even after I gave a lecture not only on the on the sanitary aspects but the dulling of the razor. They would shave with no water or shaving cream. I even bought them their own disposables and various expensive electric razors. They persisted in using mine.

Try this.. Shaving with a Gilette Fusion razor IN the shower. It has 5 blades and being In the shower, your pores will be open and you will get a MUCH smoother shave. I do this and my face is as smooth as Paris Hilton's butt!

good tips really. I have curly facial hair as well, and used to develop what you refer as pseudofolliculitis barbae. I do exactly as CP says, including pre-shaving conditioning in shower with a washcloth, and it works great. I use a single or double blade razor though.
