Farmerwright, Reni was up there in the Bonham league no question. Bonham is still the template for all today's drummers. What puts Reni up there with him is the fact that he was unremitting, funky and had swing. Very few drummers have all three.

Since when was I putting him down, I said he was a good drummer! I play the drums and do Elephant Stone exactly the way this lad does. It's competent but nowhere near Reni's level. Check the Blackpool live show to realise why I seemingly put him down "after that".

You need to actually read the band's history. At no stage did they "have it all", they didn't make a fucking dime! Their manager Gareth Evans and Silvertone (with dollars in their eyes) fucked the band over. Granted their arrogance contributed to this but most bands have raging egos. Just look at those sad cunts at Oasis and Borrell over at Razorlight.

As for Reni - there's no evidence that taking drugs fucked him up. Squire was the one on cocaine. Research, research.
