My grandpa was in the Italian Alpine Troops in WWII. The only troops never defeated by the Russian Army during the russian campaign (Russian Bullettin nr 626 1943).

But for alot of the american soldiers, they were fighting the German Heer infantry. they were conscripted soldiers, most who didnt know what the nazis were doing and/or didnt support the nazis. Everyone saying that these soldiers were nazis is like saying all G.I's were Democrats. the nazis were just the political party at the time. Say all you want about the SS and the Gestapo, but try not to say the Heer were nazis.

Medal Of Honor Frontline is the best although they are all amazing. Frontline though was so realistic for the time. Men scared in the boats on the first mission in Normandy and you could feel the emotion with them.

Seriously, have you ever opened a non-american history book? Do you know what former Sovjet withstood during the WWII? Their losses were greater than any other countries losses. They advanced against a far bigger force in both numbers and reinforcements, so don't ever say screw russia without any arguments.
