The mystery surrounding the opening date has been nothing short of a debacle. I have NEVER known a theme park that did not publicize its opening date. We are leaving soon for a trip to Tasmania that WOULD HAVE been a holiday to USS, HAD WE KNOWN it would be fucking OPEN. Unfortunately, somebody at the top was SO disorganized they could not even work out what the fucking OPENING DATE was and publicize it in advance. What kind of a way is this to operate a theme park?!? Nobody knows even yet what the opening date is. Pathetic.
If I read the reports correctly, Singapore's gov. is quite tight ass, so EVERYTHING got to be approved by em. Plus the success of the newly opened Casino is quite closely tied to the theme park. They may be trying to time it so that when the other Casino (Sands) opened in April, they can steal some thunder with the theme park opening
Let's just say that Genting's Resorts World as well as Universal Studios Singapore are trying their best to do enough stress tests to meet what the Singapore authorities require. In my opinion, this seriously hampers the excitement around the opening of the park, they are doing it for safety reasons but they are such spoilers too! Safety comes by maintaining the rides and not by so many stress tests without humans on them!

I enjoyed the universal theme park that I went to in Los Angeles alot. I got to go on so many rides and even visit the sets of psycho, desperate housewives, war of the worlds et. :) I can't wait for this one to open!! I live in Singapore now!

And not all educated in the language are good at it and so don't speak the standard form eg with proper grammar. I also really like the far far away shrek idea lol they should have done that at Orlando instead of putting Harry Potter world. and also like the JP River rapids! Looks fun. The mystery surrounding the opening date has been nothing short of a debacle. I have NEVER known a theme park that did not publicize its opening date. We are leaving soon for a trip to Tasmania that WOULD HAVE been a holiday to USS, HAD WE KNOWN it would be fucking OPEN. Get your acts together you Chinese douchebags and learn how to build and open a damned theme park to an opening schedule!!!!! You can build a fucking great wall that cane seen from space but can't plan the opening of a park!

No, I just really wanted to visit this park and spend my money there. Unfortunately, somebody at the top was SO disorganized they could not even work out what the fucking OPENING DATE was and publicize it in advance. What kind of a way is this to operate a theme park?!? Nobody knows even yet what the opening date is. Pathetic.

If I read the reports correctly, Singapore's gov. is quite tight ass, so EVERYTHING got to be approved by em. Plus the success of the newly opened Casino is quite closely tied to the theme park. They may be trying to time it so that when the other Casino (Sands) opened in April, they can steal some thunder with the theme park opening

Let's just say that Genting's Resorts World as well as Universal Studios Singapore are trying their best to do enough stress tests to meet what the Singapore authorities require. In my opinion, this seriously hampers the excitement around the opening of the park, they are doing it for safety reasons but they are such spoilers too! Safety comes by maintaining the rides and not by so many stress tests without humans on them!

If you want to insult Singapore, at least get your facts right. Singapore is a country and is NOT part of China. We aren't all Chinese; we have four different races here(Chinese, Malay, Indian and Eurasian) and if you haven't already known, Universal Studios Singapore is opening on the 18th of March 2010 which is tomorrow. The next time you insult people, get YOUR facts right.
P.S. Go and study geography again, you obviously failed it.

I enjoyed the universal theme park that I went to in Los Angeles alot. I got to go on so many rides and even visit the sets of psycho, desperate housewives, war of the worlds et. :) I can't wait for this one to open!! I live in Singapore now!

lol I'll add to it for the fun. Everyone above say age 46 was officially educated in English as 1st language. That means Some older folks may not speak the language. And not all educated in the language are good at it and so don't speak the standard form eg with proper grammar. Add the fact that half the population are foreign workers with maybe half not speaking the language and voila! you're in Singapore, not home. Don't worry, you'll get by.
