  • Why does he say "Entirely unnoticed?" I see them all the time at my house. One crawled across my pillow right before I was about to lay on it. I see them more often than any other kind of spider.

  • Recluse at the end is a female and she looks to be full of eggs with that fat body.

  • he says "crannies" like the pepperidge farm guy on family guy says "cookies" lmao

  • Good close up shots, wished there was something to provide scale though.

  • one time i was at my friend's house, and we were looking for lizards there, and i lifted up this rug and a brown recluse jumped on my hand, but at the same time a lizard (anole) jumped out and ate it... a lizard could have saved my life

  • If you have an infestation of Brown Recluse Spiders the best thing you can do is get some Scutigera Coleoptrata (House Centipedes). The scutigera eat brown recluses and any other pests, sometimes you have to set a monster to catch a monster, call it an uneasy alliance. Their bite is much preferable to the bite of a brown recluse. When all your pests are gone, they disappear to.

  • good views of the spider.

  • whats sad is im sitting on my computer typing this while on is on the wall next to me

  • i didn't heard "deadly" so i would get one as pet but since i've heard "they rather avoid human contact" i'd better do :)

  • All spiders do not try and avoid humans. Sydney funnel web and Brazilian wandering, anyone?

  • If it's bite is deadly, think about it if a ninja were to perhaps get a hold of this spider and milk it's venom on a kunai or dart. That ninja would get a gold belt for being the deadliest ninja. LOL, but seriously...stay away brown spider, or you are going to end up like the other burnt spiders in the movie, Arachnophobia.

  • i like how the spider rears up like ♫kung-fu spideeerrr♫

  • ughhguuhhhguayyauhhh

  • We have them everywhere. You just get use to them being around I guess.

  • @pmgodfrey They say people are rarely more than 10 feet from a spider at any given time. I buy (on ebay) praying mantis egg sacs, and spread them around the front of my house, hatch in about a week, they eat ANYTHING they can catch, even a scorpion. They come back every year. Give them a try, they are harmless. The ones I bought were from PA.

  • lol u sound like a news reporter...

  • eeeww now I feel like they're all over me!! D:

  • OMG I HAVE ONE CAUGHT IN A JAR ITS HUGE ! BUT IT DONT HAVE THE FIDDLE ON ITS BACK ? IT DOES THE SAME THING WITH ITS BUTT THOUGH . AND IT LOOKS IDENTICAL EXCEPT FOR THE FIDDLE . CAN MINE BE A BROWN RECLUsE OR A SIMILAR SPIDER ?

  • One came out of my cars vent, I nearly died just seeing it crawl up on the inside of my windshield X_X

  • that might be a huntsman spider.

  • @PossessedDonutz Yeah but not really.

  • so ugly !

  • I feel itchy just watching this, horrible things!

  • Just killed one today. Man I hate those things.

  • i kill any spider i see that look like that

  • @skatinrunescape

i kill any spider i see, regardless of what it looks like lol

  • Its tiny...ours is huge....where is you get this weak specimen????

  • It's as I continuously tell people, leave them be and they'll leave you be. Simple as that. Spiders are such misunderstood creatures.

    Nice, short, informative video.

  • i hate spiders lol

  • the brown recluse, ranges in color from light brown to almost black. Even when they're first born they still have a vary potent bite. I learned one thing that doesn't work to kill them is insect spray, it just makes them drunk and angry. Oh and one more fact, they can get as big as a half dollar in leg span.

  • I dont know if these are the same ones in my basement, but i hate these things no matter what, I really hope no one gets bit by it.

  • I have them everywhere in my room my lizard eats them lol

  • scary

  • I've killed 3 of these in my bedroom all this week. Idk where they came from or why they suddenly appeared in my room but they're huge and they look exactly like that: dark spot on the back, and the two things in front of it's face above the fangs..

  • Saw 2 of these in the kitchen at my grandparent's house the other day. Yuck. I don't ever see any at my house. Wouldn't care so much except that they're so poisonous.

  • god i hate that spider. See them all the time here.

  • Spiders clean your house. They eat flies, mosquitoes, cockroaches, etc.

  • another poisenis spider just like the black widow

  • "can cause people very serious medical problems" lol indian accent

  • Aww, this video made the brown recluse look so cute and fuzzy! Come here little cutie!!!! I wanna pet you and get a huge hole in my hand.

  • If you thought the Recluse was bad you should see the Precluse!

    Smitty!!! Dun!Dun!Tisss!

  • How big are they? I've heard that they are really really small.

  • yeah, they are small but really fast..

  • Adult brown recluse spiders have a leg span about the size of a quarter.

  • about the size of a quarter..so google says.

  • medical problems like a baseball chunk of your flesh will fall off?

  • In VERY serious cases maybe.

  • Thats a Brown Recluse? We have those on our Humvees.

  • Thanks for posting. Added to my favorites. See my medical data at YouTube.

  • The Brown Recluse has a VIOLIN shape on its abdomen. Very fitting like its name.

  • Ugh, I had an incounter with a few the other week, one ran across my foot and the other was standing next to my hand, and then there are black widows all over the place, accidently managed to touch all 3 I came across, well the 3rd was being killed by ants, at least winters coming and there will be less outside, but hopefully not inside!

  • i found a brown recluse in my shoe when i woke up during a camping tripXD

  • aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

  • whats it doing with its bottom?

  • noo where do they live hope they dont live in the uk they will hurt that is a biggen plz kill it

  • Depends. What does UK stand for?

  • What do you think uk stands for?

    U cant be that dumb

  • Easy, hernes. You can't expect everyone to know everything.

  • I won't be as harsh as others, so I'll answer by saying United Kingdom, although it's hard not to know that.

  • jesus christ i hate spiders especially that one!

  • kill it

  • they say its very rare to have that kind of spider in Michigan....my dad got bit by a spider and he said it was white but had long legs kinda like a daddy long leg but he said it wasnt a daddy long leg.....sooo now im on this hunt to find out what kind of spider it was that bit him....

and help will bee much helpfull

  • Maybe a cellar spider? Those have long lags and can be white.

  • It wasn't a Daddy Long Leg that bit him. Their fangs are not long enough to puncture human skin. If they were able to bite humans it would be deadly. They are the only spider in North America that is more venomous than a Brown Recluse.

  • no, daddy longlegs do bite and they are not poisonous. And the brown recluse is not the most poisonous in North America, the most poisonous is the black widow.....

  • Well said. I hope this ridiculous myth is eventually dismantled. The deadliest spider in the world is the Brazilian Walking Spider.

  • Who ever said the brown recluse was the deadliest in the world? I also though that the Syndey Funnel web was bad too...

  • It's more like Brazilian banana spider (kills) > Sydney funnel web spider (kills)>Chilean recluse spider (dermonecrosis, can kill easily if poison reaches the blood stream) > black widow (deadly but often treatable)>Brown Recluse (dermonecrosis, if it kills at all, then on very rare ocassions)

  • it is dangerous to be a landscaper now because of all the spiders, my dad has gotten bitten by a black widow and a brown recluse.still alive.

  • Bittin by both at the same time!? OMGZ they formed a team!

  • my friend had a house spider crawl in her ear and have babies in there...they put some gel over her ear and they all died.. awesome....

  • I figured the babies would eat their way through the brain.

  • it looks more like a guitar than a fiddle

  • We have Black Widows at my place..we rarely find them in or right outside our house..ive only seen like.....2..but Black Widows..Brown Recluse..House Spiders...i dont care! i dont wanem in my house! AHHHHHH there creepy!

  • the brown recluse can kill you, it depends on your health

  • Wow, a blackwidow can kill u if it bites u anywhere, one of those cant kill u

  • not all the time, it really depends on the size of the person, heart history and age.

  • It's actually the other way around. The Brown Recluse is far more venomous than a Black Widow. I've been bitten by both, and know the difference from 1st hand experience. The BW got me on the back of the neck, directly on my spine. The BR got me on the bottom of my foot. One might expect the one on the neck to be worse, but it wasn't. The BW made me sick for about 2 weeks with a high fever. The BR bite is still hurting badly after 2 weeks. I'm barely walking. See my video here on YouTube.

  • Yea, i was told not to kill wolf spiders. Because, they kill Brown Recluses and Black Widows.I have seen a lot of comments that say Brown Recluse bites are not deadly. Not long ago, there was a boy from Alabama that got bitten in the head. What happened was the spider was hiding in his helmet. He died two weeks later. I dont know, those things scare the crap out of me. Can not sleep at night, thinking there is one crawling in my bed. I need to buy some spider traps or need to get pest control.

  • dont worry, brown recluse spiders arent that dangerous.

  • Cobweb spiders eat brown recluses, so if you see those, don't kill 'em.

  • Is it true that Brown Recluse spiders are as venomous as Black Widow spiders?

  • No, they're more venemous then Black Widows

  • ya theyr more venemous [black widows arnt even that venemous]

  • you can't realy compare those two spiders. Widows use venom and recluse use poison. Widows will affect yuor nervous system but will leave only small markings on the location of the bite while recluse will leave a very nasty hole at the location of the bite but will have almost no effect on your system.

  • how big r recluses?

  • about as big as an adult thum or aroud that =]

  • my pet laura is quarter sized

  • this man talks with no fear but this stupidy of no fear will lead to the no fear of bites which will kill us all

  • The recluse will rarely bite. You almost have to press it against the skin to cause said bite and many times the bite does not cause the major medical problems.I was bit by one over 9 months ago and I only received a small scar about the size of a dime.

  • My bf had a Brown Recluse lay eggs in his bedroom and luckily he found all of the spiders and killed them before anybody got bitten! This is one spider that you don't want to mess with, trust me!

  • Killed one at work last week probably saved a hospital visit for somebody.

I know that spider well enough not to let it populate our warehouse and be a threat.

I won't kill wolf spiders, and we already know black widows are in our building.

It is so rare to see a recluse that if you see one just kill it. You really could be preventing serious injury. I love spiders but I am also not stupid enough to let one go and wonder around people. They are dangerous.

  • Recluse bites are nasty, but have you seen Black widows???? Yeesh! Thems U.G.L.Y. DOB's.

And they generaly hurt alot worse.

  • while watching this vid i felt the tinniest tickle on my back and totally flipped out..LOL

  • same

  • @pianoxprincess Me too! Except mine was on my foot! lol. The power of the mind! :)

  • we must eradicate them all! and don't say i'm horrible for this because i know there are other animals that could take it place in the food chain.

  • I'd rather loose an eye then look at that.

  • GULP! MOMMY!

  • If that thinig comes near me it'll be dead in 1.4 seconds for sure.

  • yep that's a "violin spider" for sure.
