Responding to Emeek's vids is like trying to put a fire out by pouring gasoline on it. Let's face it, Emeek is crazy,but when you try and twist a crazy person's words around, that clearly makes you equally as crazy. Linux doesn't suck, but it lacks a LOT of commercial support in many areas, and things don't work as straightforward. There's things I love about Linux, but it ain't a scratch on my OSX Snow Leopard setup. OSX is kinda like Linux commercialized.

@seanhawkins09 well that is debatable. And end users can often buy non consumer hardware if they know where to shop.

But I not sure I would classify the 3000 series Xeon as a workstation anymore some of the choices Apple made and continues to make with the Mac pro are in my opinion a tad well not sure what but just seems off.

@Lukaz1989 Ya I get carried away when it comes to Linux & Apple.

My 2 big beefs with Apple are: the way the lock down their products & that they are actively anti-Linux.

I think many of their products could be great if Apple would stop trying to micromanage and just let the product be.

And attacking Linux when much of their software is in part based on Open Source while simultaneously pretending Linux dose not exist as a viable OS..??

Price to but on that point they are no worse than Sony

I'm not an apple fan at all. JUST to make that clear first.

I didn't hear him make a promise to buy a HP. He was saying the HP was a well deigned and built PC. He even expressed a dozen or so times how the PC's only hick-up was the Windows OS. Fair enough you found out you can buy it without MS installed. Doesn't mean he said he hates linux....where the feck you get that from? Clean your ears every once in a while ;)

Also, i7 and Xeon are the same. Grow the f**k up Apple Soldier

I bash on Emeek about Linux from time to time because he seams to only like Linux when it is not directly competing with Apple. And at times he says false things about Linux because they weaken his Pro Apple stance.

I just don't like the View if it is good for Apple it is GOOD. If it is bad for Apple even if "he" said it was good before now it is bad because it is now bad for Apple.

When he dose reviews of items he purposely glases over anything that is not pro Apple..

First, he said the only one he would get is the Falcon Northwest... then he said it would be the HP workstation..... then he said it would be the Puget machine.

I've seen no decent video or multitrack editors for Linux. It's not a great option if that is how it is used.

OS choices are based on preference, software selection, and what people know.

i think he only wants the apple OS, he may say that if it does not run the apple OS he does not want it. he say that the hp is still shit because it runs windows. even when he says that he like the hp.

mate you obviously didn't even look at the whole video apple soldier did. If he ever got another PC if would be the HP workstation. Obviously if they had Mac OS on the HP workstation (which would never happen) he would get the hp over the mac pro.

I personally cannot believe how much some of these base lines cost.

I have some classmates who brag about the mac and all, and say it is the best. I bring in a computer better and less expensive, with money left over to buy another OS, and they still say Mac is the best for everything BUT gaming.(which we all know isn't true)

But they finally got tired of arguing with me.

I like PCs because they are less expensive for the same quality or better, plus more variety of parts that are no overprice
