  • Just read on yahoo about the seat prices and I say FUCK YOU!!! Fucking expensive ass shit, you literally hVe to buy a seat!!! Price ranges are 80k 30k and 20k. What kind of shit is that!!!! They're not even that good for all that. The idea itself is ridiculous.... what dumb selfish planning.. 49rs are gonna loose alot of fans..

  • isn't it odd that whenever a team sucks they want a new stadium.

then when they get the green light for the new place the team suddenly does well...

the NFL has more pro wrestling than wwe.

tim tebow is going to win the superbowl because he's the new face of the nfl.

he has zero skill to be there but somehow he will be because that's where the money is.

the nfl is a side show.

  • Cowboys stadium is still way better!!!!!!

  • @MrAlexbfmv The cowboys still can't play football.

  • @MrAlexbfmv I think Cowbus Stadium is way over the top. Why do they need a domed stadium in Texas? Jerry must be compensating for something.

  • The south bay has been traveling to San Francisco and Oakland for years...time to add to the shrank tank and keep it in the south bay

  • I myself always thought that the California stadiums of the 1960s were beautiful before they became true cookie-cutter stadiums. I also aboslutely hate having the suites/ club seats stacked like that. It feels extremely one-sided and forces the other side to take on more seating (aka farther sight lines because you have to sit farther back).

But it's not my team, and the NFL wants anything to prop up the revenue it receives, so what am I to do.

  • LOOKS WHACK AS FUCK

  • Please name it 49ers stadium!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • WRESLTEMANIA 29!!!

  • I can't wait till this is built

  • fuck the yorks

  • as a rams fan i want the rams back in los angeles, i would hope that a few 49ner fans would want the same thing... with california possibly getting a 3 for 1 deal 3 new stadiums in 1 state within years apart.... support for the rams moving back would make the nfc right again and the heated Rams/49ners rivalry back on track... with both teams still in the NFC West :)

  • looks good

  • WOW SOUNDS LIKE AN INCREDIBLE STADIUM BUT I THOUGHT THEY WERE THE SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS!!!!!FORGET THIS STADIUM ...TAKING ALL THE JOBS AWAY FROM SAN FRANCISCANS! AND WHITEBOYS IN SANTA CLARA TAKING OVER THE 49ERS? SELLOUT WHITEBOYS JUST LIKE ORGINAL 49ERS HUNGRY FOR GOLD!!!!!!!! MEXICA TIHUA

  • I am so happy to see this, finaly a new stadium, that is outside, I am so sick of seeing these new stadiums that are domes, or retractible, it ruins the game, Thank you 49ers, you guys are true to the game

  • @xxRaiderxx1000 im excited too! if cedar fairs decides to just sell its land to the 49's they will move all of its coasters to different cedar fair parks! so that means i have a good chance on getting a new rollercoaster! woot! Everyone wins!!! :D

  • @xxRaiderxx1000 hopefully to go along with the outdoor presence they use a real grass playing surface none of this field turf B.S.

  • Let's hope it includes a proper way of honoring it's history including: - a Ring of Honor around the bowl of the stadium including the following names: *Joe Montana *Steve Young *Jerry Rice *Ronnie Lott *Bill Walsh *George Siefert *Dwight Clark *Jimmy Johnson (the cornerback, not the coach) *Y.A. Tittle *Dave Wilcox *Bob St. Clair *Joe Perry *Hugh McElhenny *Leo Nomellini *John Brodie *Charlie Kruger etc - 5 Super Bowl banners hanging from the endzone - 5 Trophies displayed.
  • @owenpetersonWHAT DIFFFERENCE DOES THAT MAKE???? THATS THE PAST..NOW WERE IN SANTA CLARA?!?!?! WTF???? sellOUT!

  • Jerry Jones new stadium will not be topped for another 20 years. Cowboys Stadium is decades ahead of everything else. He also finished it during the worst financial crisis since the great depression. Pretty impressive.

  • @amafid: Pretty impressive or pretty stupid? Imagine all of the good Jones could have done with that money though. You are right about one thing though. The new 49er stadium won't top the amazing feature that the Cowboys have of having a scoreboard that is too low that can potentially interfere with kickoffs.

  • Jeez couldn't they come up with a better design. I mean come on 900mil+ for this wow w/e.

  • @J0shua45 Seriously

  • there just moving the stadium to a different city. there still going to be San Fransisco 49ers. just like some teams in the nfl. some teams dont play in there exact city

  • Dont like it

  • Fuck your tax payer funded bull shit. This is what you get when use revenue sharing and stupid ass salary caps. FREE CARMEN POLICY!!

  • The Bay Area (specifically the South Bay) is home to Silicon Valley, so in this case the developers of the stadium should get all high-tech. Apple could be in charge of doing a job that'll challenge the Cowboys stadium with a better big screen and more special effects.

That away even if the Niners suck, the stadium will be an experience of it's own...but knowng this is broke California, the chances of that are slim. Unless the owner has enough in his pocket to chip in.

  • This stadium is like an open-air Ford Field, except the digital scoreboards are behind the upper concourse, which allows fans getting concessions to still view the action, a type of configuration that has changed the game of baseball since the opening of PNC Park in Pittsburgh.

  • @gpturner0924 Stacking the suites like in Ford Field, I like that. I guess this means the Lions have set a new standard to follow with their new stadium, not to mention it returned the team to the heart of the city.

The Detroit Tigers new stadium (built 2 years earlier) should have done a similar thing with suites instead of having them make the upper deck so far away.

  • @Knightmessenger It's harder to stack the suites in a Baseball stadium, because of the quirky shape of the field. I like what they did at Nationals Park (my home stadium) where the suites are confined to the infield area, wrapping from 1st base to 3rd base. The upper deck in this area is higher up than down the lines, but it allows for a semi stacking, but still allows for an upper deck from one foul pole to the other

  • @subjoy1 But what you don't know is that Candlestick was built on waste land. The Candlestick Area was never meant for a stadium to be built on. The Hills surrounding it makes it very windy giving it horrible weather for football. I know your from Chicago and hearing me complain about winds does not compare to your snow. But All of Chicago is like that when in the Bay Area, weather could be very diverse in small distances. Owners thought what situation would give them the most profit.

  • what a shitty stadium...

  • FUCK THIS!I've been fan my whole life living in oakland, imagine the persecution i get,and this pisses me off. If I see SC instead of SF on their helmets I think i'll give up football.

  • Maybe its because, the City of San Francisco proposed Stadium Is PRIVATELY FINANCED, the citizen's of SF don't have to pay NADA. AND THE STADIUM BUILDER - LENNAR, is giving the Yorks 100 Million Dollars to get started with the Stadium at HP. Only people who are dragging their feet is the 49er Ownership.

The SF 49ers belong in San Francisco, not the Suburbs...History says this, not some absentee phony ownership from Youngstown Ohio.

  • @hadlee182 I can say the same for the WASHINGTON Redskins. Look where Jack Kent Cook brought them at the end of his career. I'm not saying Dan Snyder is better, cause Jack Kent Cook was a great owner and the Skins were great when he was in the Owners Box. I'm just saying that Jack Kent Cook moved the Skins out of the Nation's Capitol to a new district, called Raljon, MD. That has worn off and now the Skins are actually the LANDOVER Redskins... And yet, RFK Stadium still exists...

  • the communist left politicians in san franciso wont give 49 ers a dime for a new stadium, i think its a good idea to move to santa clara

  • @glerb46 They are COMMUNISTS if they dont give tax money to a stadium?!?!?! WTF is wrong with you. They are FAGGOTS, Santa Clara is the communists. Words have meaning!

  • wait the super bowl is not a world class event it's an Amercian Event

  • its still gonna be the sanfransisco 49ers. just being played in santa clara. which i think still sucks

  • keep 49ers in SF

  • Keep the NINERS in SF

  • All you haters, stop complaining... Baltimore Colts moved to Indy OVERNITE!!!!! There was nothing premeditated with the move and it was in the MIDDLE OF THE SEASON!!!! Your Niners are staying proximal to where their history is... At least my Skins will be back in DC by 2014...

  • @gpturner0924 Um... they moved in march of 1984 which I'm pretty sure is the OFFSEASON!

  • @Bonhamman90 You're right... Typo... meant to write "in the MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT"... Most sources say the departure was around 2:00 a.m.

  • @gpturner0924 Not a problem

  • Bring the Rams back to LA, and build the new LA stadium in Industry! Two new stadiums for a renewed Rams-49ers rivalry!!

  • @senorcardgage678 Nice pipe dream, but NFL football will never return to Los Angeles, California

  • @IIIIIIBradfordIIIIII They have two stadiums set up for construction,

  • @senorcardgage678 Bring the Raiders to AEG's football stadium and bring the Rams to Ed Roski's Los Angeles Stadium in the City of Industry. "Three new stadiums for a renewed Raiders-Rams-49ers rivalry!!"

  • San Jose 49ers

  • I guess it's better for the people that live down in the South Bay, but from the city, it's pretty distant.

  • Stadium looks nice, but wish it stayed in SF. But oh well, a superbowl here in the bay area would be nice :)

  • HOW CAN YOU MOVE THE 9ERS ONE OF THE MOST STORIED FRANCHISES TO SANTA CLARA??? I AM AN SF NATIVE AND USED TO TAKE MUNI TO THE GAMES NOW WHEN THEY GO TO COMMERCIAL WHAT ARE THEY GONNA SHOW PICTURES OF GREAT AMERICA?? LOL THAT'S RETARDED IF THEY MOVE THEY SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO KEEP THE NAME END OF STORY

  • This stadium is not a monday night football stadium, the scenery sucks, this palace is not fit for our kings...

  • I must say that the new stadium is going to be one hell of a state of the art stadium. but fuck that shit the city is where tha niners shud stay, all the history we got at candlestick, so many drunk fun memories, and my crib. is like 5 blocks away. SF is were the niners legacy is at. gone

  • the bills play in orchard park, cowboys play in arlington, redskins play in maryland, giants and jets play in jersey, pats are no where near boston in fact in the mid 90's the allmost move to hartford,ct. tampa bay rays play in st.petersburgh. point is if you don't have a downtown stadium your most likley going to play in the burbs outside the city. look at the angles they like to call themselfs l.a. when they play in anaheim.

  • @doubletbigballz Your explanation shows that you know nothing about niners Pride

  • I may be a Seahawks fan, but the 49ers playin' home games in Santa Clara????? That idea just plain sucks ass!!!! Build this stadium no south of San Mateo!!!!!

  • all you people quit crying over the team being in santa clara, just be happy they didn't move to los angeles. 30 miles for 8 home games a year big deal, it's not like the giants were moving out that far. one of the thing i like about the location is the parking, it will have 40,000 on site parking spaces.

  • And for the rest of u who dislike this then don't be a fan b'cuz this just means that u r not true and loyal fans to the 49ers. I bet once all is straightened out and we're back to the 'ol days y'all are gnna start bandwagoning once again so get that stick of ur @R$e!

  • Yeah I'm excited for this néw stadium as we rise to being the best in the west and in the NFL!

  • At first I was against moving the 49ers to santa clara, but think about it...over there is going to be more peacful and the people around are going to be nice. Over here in sf its horrible, all these dam projects kill the area of the stadium... all the blacks don't care about how they live so they REC everything in their site that looks NEW!!. I mean wtf..man SO I AM ACTUALLY HAPPY THEY MOVING TO SANTA CLARA its much nicer. I KNOW THIS BECAUSE i live near the stadium and its fucking dirty .

  • Great, now thats going bring SF most ghetto mother fuckers over to Santa Clara.

  • Can someone fuck'n tell me if there going or if there staying??

  • @audiolink100 learn how to research and use a pretty cool tool called Google.

  • Even when the new stadium opens in Santa Clara, they are still going to be called the San Francisco 49ers. A true 49er Faithful will stick by their team no matter what.

  • their still gonna be called the san francisco 49ers and plus it will be easier to get to the stadium you dont have to worry about traffic jams and worrying if you gotta leave early i know it wont be the same but it will be easier for fans all over california

  • This stadium design would NOT work at candlestick with the wind problem !!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • i hate the fucking yorks. i hope this fails and they sell the team

  • I only root for the San Francisco 49ers not the Santa Clara 49ers.

  • @blarg15

They'll still be called the SF 49ers. The FO isn't that stupid to change the name.

A new stadium is fine , it's no biggie. New Yorkers go to Jersey for the Giants games and this is good for the franchise. Sure , the Stick has a lot of history but bay area sports need a makeover.

  • looks like a college stadium

  • man if they move 2 santa clara im not gunna like them anymore.. and no thats not bandwagon bcuz the 49ers will never be the same if the same if they moved there.. and that sounds quir santa clara 49ers.. omg wow embarrassing

  • The hew Giants stadium looks alot better. And they ned to shit can those ugly gold seats.

  • their Training Facility is in Santa Clara, they practice in Santa Clara, and now their new stadium will be in Santa Clara! if none of the facilities are in SF, then whats the point of keeping the name San Francisco? I mean, The Giants and Jets rep. NY, but play in NJ. but the stadiums close to the NYC area. Plus both the Jets and Giants training facilities are in NY. Cowboys may lpay in Irving, but thats still a suburb of Dallas.

  • are they going to change it to santa clara 49ers? dat sounds really awful.

  • this will never be !

  • im not for them moving to Santa Clara....i say let them use Pac Bell park to play a season or 2 so that the can rebuild Candlestick...and dont say they couldnt, because the hold the emerald bowl there every year...so its do able

  • If Mr. DeBartolo was still the owner of the 49ers he would have jumped on the Waterfront Stadium located in Hunters Point. Mr. D. had an eye for the Dramatic, and he would have instantly known that the SF stadium site had Star Power, and it was STELLAR in all of its GRANDEUR.

Do the 5 time Super Bowl Champs deserve better than a 15 acre stadium on a parking lot, next to an Amusement Park?......YES!

The SC stadium won't even have a statue of Walsh or Montana...the site is too small.

  • finally a new stadium

  • Don't know why every1's complaining. Sure their moving from SF, but it will give fans a nice day trip. The most important thing is their staying NEAR San Fran and keeping their name.

  • This stadium has got nothing around it. Seattle did the best thing in building Quest Field in the Kingdome's old foundaition while the Seahawks played at Husky Stadium. Now they have one of the best, if not the best stadium/location combo in the league.

  • The reason that theyre building a stadium in Santa Clara is because some people wouldnt let them rebuild a new stadium at Candlestick

  • As for the stadium, I sure hope that press box on the west side of the stadium is on the home sideline b/c i'm sure the noise level will be less on the decibel scale. Looks pretty sweet though. Santa Clara just makes sense since our HQ is there. Traditions these days just seem to not matter anymore, just look at college football and those conference realignments. I guess tony bennett will be right again, "I left my heart in San Francisco". At least the super bowl will be back in the bay soon.

  • @snave31

There will not be enough parking - based on Santa Clara track record. The fine people in City Hall just don't have the experience or the skepticism to deal with jobs of this size.

  • From an organization point of view, this stadium is gonna be great for our franchise. As a fans POV, It's sad to see the first west coast professional franchise move from it's city limits. You can blame the city of san francisco for not wanting to help with finances for a new stadium. It's not like the stick was really in SF any ways so fans need to get over thier nostalic sentimental feelings. The Yorks had to do something for their franchise instead of waiting around for the damn politics.

  • No more majestic shots of the bay birdge and candlestick point. Instead the 49ers stadium is right next to a Landfill, so if the wind changes direction get ready to have a pleasant smells while watching the game. Second the desgin looks like crap...Your never gonna fill the nosebleed seats when you have 65inch HD plasma's with DVR's. Dallas has the right idea, you need more than just a new location and stadium to fill the seats.

  • As a Sacramento resident who happens to be a season ticket holder I really don't care where I watch the Niners. I've heard that S.F. basically told the team to go suck it when they were pitching a new stadium so what do you S.F. residents expect them to do? At least now I don't have to go over the damn Bay Bridge on the way to games. Besides, Santa Clara has BEAUTIFUL weather year round. Should be a great place to see the games.

  • i think this would be a great stadium hands down

  • I would perfer it in San Francisco, but the liberal leadership of the City has apparently made it nearly impossible. Most major cities have their teams playing in nearby communities, so the move makes little difference in the larger picture. A large fan base of the 49ers does reside south of the city, and the team's headquaters has been there for years. It sure beats sharing a stadium with the Traders in Oakland, or moving out of the area.

  • Keep the Niners in SF! No on J

  • I heard that the Niner's are going to have to share the new stadium with Oakland. BULLSHIT!

  • @Xtorsion40

NO al davis said he'd never do that

  • @joseluischapeton15 I heard about the sharing of the new stadium on satellite radio, on the NFL network. Never got a follow up on it, but if you guys say that we're not, then that's all I needed to here.

  • REBUILD IN CANDLESTICK!!! MIGHT AS WELL NAME EM THE SANTA CLARA 49ers!! ASSHOLES!!!!!

  • wouldnt oakland be closer ?

  • FUCK THE STADIUM NO ON J

  • i love the 49ers and i think this will be a great stadium for them idk it just looks better than candlestick

  • There is an unused lot in SF near AT&T that the Giants own. The Niners should buy it and build there. Philly has all of their stadiums in one area, which allows them to maximize efficiency. This would be the smartest (not the cheapest) choice for the Niners.

  • @dan3452648

where do you suppose people park, especially when giants games conflict with niner home games?

  • if Niners built a stadium by the Golden Gate Bridge haha sickk

  • i live in San Jose i dont care where they move to atlong as they are still in the Bay Area. They wouldnt be he same if they left the Bay

  • World Cup ... World Cup. Build the damn stadium in Santa Clara already. Then we can bring an MLS team to San Francisco and build a Sick Stadium !!!

  • @213USA fuck soccer

  • The City of Santa Clara is broke thanks to Mahan. 114 million dollar public subsidy!!Keep dreaming...now go away.

  • can we say lambou field knock off lmaoo

  • this looks awesome and great area! but the problem is traffic :(. this new stadium is right next great america (six flags)!!

  • joe fonzi....is that you?

  • Is this still going to happen or what? I heard about this about a year ago. I havent heard anything new. I am frm San Jose originally and would be hyped if this went down. I also heard of the A's moving to Fremont. Iz that tru? Someone comment me back Im curious.

  • @4shark0city8 fuck u

  • fuck u back

  • Gets voted on in march or may 2010 and the A's fremont stadium and been canned(NO). At least the san jose earthquakes are getting a stadium but i dont like the stadium plan

  • ok thnx

  • Comment removed

  • I dont like it

The Niners have to stay in CandleStick Park.

  • Take it from a Cowboys fan.... That classic stadium you love so much... it won't be there forever.

  • the cowboys have fans? lol

  • *rolleyes*

Look, the only classic stadium that's gonna stay standing is Lambeau. Candlestick Park may get renovated, but that's the only that's gonna save it. It happens to all teams in the Leauge (except Green Bay)

  • I know this. I guarentee candlestick is gunna go. Its old, and there is alot of history there and I would hate to see it go, but have you been there? Its pretty much in Hunters Point, which (if nobody knows) is suuuuuuuuper hood. Nobody should be out there if they arent from there.

  • When I went to the Bay Area 9 years ago, I didn't go to that part of San Francisco, so I couldn't really agree. But one thing's for sure, Candlestick wont be around forever. Hell, they're about to blow up Texas Stadium, and memories don't mean a thing when it comes to money.

  • what and fuck you

  • is this guy kidding me? haha. some people are so lame it amazes me

  • ok...as long as they dont change the name..san francisco 49ers!..imagne the santa clara 49ers, insted of the SF o n the healmet it would b SC..noo, i prefer SF

  • its still gunna be SF 49ers. just outside of SF. kinda like how the Jets and Giants actually dnt play in NY. their stadium is actually in New Jersey

  • btw all I heard about the new stadium is that it will have a mall inside? didn't hear about it on here

  • As if the Yorks' ownership hasn't been bad enough, now they want to move their team's stadium to a different city? That fucking sux... i know people say that teams like the giants and dallas don't have their teams in ther cities but Giants stadium is only 5 miles away from manhattan, and cowboy stadium is only 12 miles away from texas stadium and arlington is still a suburb of dallas... Santa Clara is over 30 miles away from Candlestick, that is a significant difference

  • LOL! It isn't that big of a deal. I drive 30 miles to and from work every day.

  • As if the York's ownership wasnt bad enough they expect taxpayers to pay for all of it, saving them money, being that theyve been goddamn stingy as it is with not building a competent roster!!! John York sell this team NOW!!! We dont like you as the owner so get a clue and STOP RUINING OUR TEAM'S LEGACY!!!

  • john york isnt going to sell the team get use to it. he's already given most of the ownership to Jed

  • @rudye59

what other options do the 49ers have? renovating the 'stick is not one of them. let me also remind you that 40% of the niner fanbase resides in the south bay, not the city. in fact, the city only represents 10%.

further, let me also remind you that the giants/jets stadium is not only located outside of NY, but in another state! moreover, cowboy stadium may be a mere 12 miles away from texas stadium, but texas stadium was in irving, not dallas. should i keep going?

  • I think the 49ers would prefer to build a new stadium in the city of San Francisco. But the city, itself, is making it hard to build a stadium. With demands for low-income housing within the area around the stadium along with community center. I live in the Bay Area, the people in charge of SF could care less about the 49ers. Only if the fans could decide a stadium would have been built already.

  • actually the gavin newsome(the mayor of sf) said he offered to pay for alot of the stadium but the niners said the offer was too late and they already have their eyes set on santa clara

  • Bring on The Super Bowl!

  • I agree what 213USA said..in the other hand they should keep in SF..cuz they got the golden gate bridge plus perfect views of SF when they show part of the city during the football games...but fuck it thats my opinion and they going to build it in Santa Clara. I rather go to SF to the game than in the futrue..They should put more shit to the new stadium like the big hd tv they have in Dallas now. lol

  • I agree with you to an extent i wish they had this stadium in candlestick also because that's where you can see the bay and the ocean but also remember the 49ers nation of fans is all on the west side of the SF bay so we will still have a strong fan base around santa clara it would make the trip a bit longer from my house but it will be less traffic and we would have a new stadium finally but it will be Odd having the niners play in S.Clara

SANTA CLARA NINERS lol but now we get to host S.Bowls

  • Fuck this stadium rebuild at the Candlestick site.

  • @RealName09 they would have but some people in San Fran wont let it happen dumbass

  • @RealName09 why not build it next to the giants statdium at china basin, there alot of space there

  • I am 49ers fan from Indiana, somebody from The Bay area, tell me honselty 1-10 what are the odds this gets built.

  • WOW!! alot of money but amazing stadium cant wait!!!

  • Now, tell us why you're demanding $114 MILLION in public welfare from the City of Santa Clara.

    ...

Note that the stadium only pays the Yorks and the 49ers - not Santa Clara. They take all the cash, we get pennies.

    ...

In short, it's a lousy deal for Santa Clara - and no amount of slick videos can change that fact.

  • Nice stadium but pissed off that we get these stupid democratic mayors who dont give a shit about sports and cant keep this in san francisco.... Same thing happening in oakland!

  • Go Green! I like the solar and living roof!

  • NICE
