Thank you for sharing, she did a fabulous job of restoring this majestic home. This is very inspirational, as we're looking for an old farmhouse to restore ourselves :) Thanks!!!
Thank you so much for watching the video. I know were you are from because of your hints. I am not from that part of the state though. I just know it from visiting my Aunt. It is truly the most beautiful part of the state though. I really miss my Aunt, she has been gone 4 years now.
Ok, I'm leaving another comment. Wasn't enough room. I wanted to tell you how I found this vid. I was on foxnews & clicked a link to view the historic images from the hurricane in Galveston, then I saw videos for historic homes which we LOVE & eventually, this video came up in the list & I clicked it & as soon as it came up I knew where it was & thought wow, how strange is this? I had no clue it was on here. BEAUTIFUL home!! I'm so glad you posted. Can't wait to show my hubby when he gets home.
I know exactly where this house is. My hubby & I have driven by it a thousand times over the past few years. We always stop in front of it & stare...it's so beautiful. We love historic homes. We live about 10 miles down the road from you in a little town that starts with a V. It's where the bulldogs are. ;) Anyway, we've always wanted to see the inside of this house & now we can. Thanks for posting this. It's absolutely beautiful & the song, wow! It is so sweet what you've done with this video.
What a great Tribute to your Aunt she would be so very proud of you letting the world see all of her hard work in restoring this beautiful masterpiece.
This is so beautiful and I am so glad that someone loved it enough to restore it! It does take my breath away! Thank you so much for this video with the wonderful Eva Cassidy singing!
SweetLady: We come here for different reasons - personally, I was looking for all the Eva Cassidy songs I could find, but stayed for the video - beautiful house, and the love for your Aunt shows through.
Thank you for the nice comment. I like Eva Cassidy's music too. I mostly made this video for my mom from pictures I already had on hand. Lately most of my videos have been of my sketches. Thank you for watching.
too many shots of heavily draped and upholstered furniture instead of the actual work your aunt did on the house. show us the trim, the window panes, the door frames, those great corinthian columns outside. talk about the wood in the railings, floors.
I"m in Oklahoma, and there are lots of homes like this here.
