  • Robin Finck... proving the Mighty Boosh theory that with a poncho, your always happy! Severly missing NIN :(

  • Real men wear black T-shirts

  • Why did you take a 720p video from ninofficial and upload it as this crappy 240p version?

  • Ok guys & girls! I needed to comment this bad! When I heard this song for the first time I was like wow! I know some of you can relate to the ol "ear gasm"

This song rocks big time. I'v been a fan I NIN since I came out of my mom. And Long Live NIN. Great Guys and Trent is brilliant and smart and knows how to make music.

    PEACE

  • NIN music discipline me to be a better musician

  • why is there year old posts still in the favs?

  • They are so awesome live... I want to see them at least one more time before they stop touring... God forbid they ever do that.

  • agreed, his music since 89 til present is amazing and will always be a big part of my life. Im a fan for the rest of my life.

  • Remember seeing him about 20 yrs ago here in Toronto...maybe 1,000 people at the bar...and about a yr or two later MLG....and 20 k in the crowd..

  • @mic01 whats mlg?

  • @ToOlOGT22 Maple Leaf Gardens

  • love the bass on this song

  • I realize NIN's "The Slip" album is sort of a crossback sound to the "With Teeth" era which I love because I love The "With Teeth" album. What do you guys think?

  • @RussX5Z I totally disagree. Haha. I felt like With Teeth was a lot of space and pointless sound (pointless in that it didn't support a greater melody), but I do see how it's _more_like WT than it's like Year Zero.

    So I half agree :)

  • This is my favorite incarnation of NIN ever!

  • robin's hair do rules :)

  • imagine driving in the country side, windows rolled down, blasting this song.

NIN's a big part of my life right now. haha

  • can you guess what im doing tomorrow lol

  • @V19torrent I don't need to imagine that is my life

  • @V19torrent

did that today in my truck LOL!! Shockingly, no one cares...I may in fact live in the middle of fucking nowhere!

  • @msmazzo it'd definitely turn my head to hear this playing out of someone's truck.

  • Once they start, they cannot stop themselves . :P

  • Love this track. Love the hazy ambience and the usual textured blackness in the back ground. Really makes this performance unique.

  • What an amazing kick drum sound, omg im jizzing in my pants to it haha

  • Robin's the ultimate NIN guitarist :D

  • this live version. i love the song even more.

  • who are those people. The guitarist i recognize as Robin Finck, and the keyboardist is Cortini... i don't recognize any other ppl.

  • @fishyellis: Some new members introduced semi-not-so-recently; Justin Meldal-Johnson on bass, Robin Finck on guitar, Josh Freese on drums, Alessandro Cortini on keys, and the vocals are Trent Reznor, of course.

They do play other instruments, too (dependant on the song itself), but those are their primary 'roles'. Might I add that this is a kickass line up. I like the new one with Ilan Rubin on drums and everyone else on keys/guitar.

  • I see... personally my favorite lineup was on the Fragility Tour (AATCHB DVD) with trent (duh), Jerome Dillon on drums, Danny Lohner on bass, Robin Finck on guitar, and charlie clouser on keys. Rockin

  • @fishyellis agreed... that will forever be the greatest lineup... i thought i was sad when chris vrenna left... until i saw what jerome dillon could do. and if you ask me live NIN is nothing without charlie clouser.. but that's just my opinion.

  • Ilan is a wicked drummer, but I gotta say I prefer Freese... er at least with NIN I prefer him.

  • you don't knew who Trent reznor is?

the drummer is josh frees he is

one of the best drummers alive!

  • I am gonna see them tonite! i fucking love them!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i really love this album, but for some reason i feel trent should have included a more agressive song into it... just for the sake of variety haha

  • Yeehaw!

  • GREAT CTHULHU approves

  • is robin wearing a pancho?! haha

  • Hey, does anyone know what the synth bass thingy JMJ uses during the bridge part is?

  • NIN's BEST fucking song ever.... Reznor RULES! The Slip: best NIN album ever. Stay fresh boys, no one as original as you guys.

  • The best thing about these rehearsal vids is they show how a coordinated band functions, with each musician contributing equally to reach a well balanced song. Rock on NIN!!!

  • HOW HAVE I NEVER SEEN THESE!?!?!? amazing!!! ;D

  • They came included with the special edition of The Slip. The album had the CD and a bonus DVD with the rehearsal footage.

  • The Fucking BEST

  • now to me thats art! look how they all work as one to form the song! its great! it comes all together into an amazing master piece! five stars *****

  • I hear a lot of people say that this album sucks. Now that's a load of crap. This album is amazing. I love it.

  • who the fuck says the slip sucks? Its really good lol. brings more of a rock sound without losing that NIN touch :)

  • Eh I see a lot of crappy reviews for it. It's awesome if you ask me.

  • I don't give a shit about the reviews....I liked it lots......I will say from '89 till now nin's always remained genius, and very original. he didn't loose any of his sound....he grew up

  • @sgf1989 yeah whoever doesnt like them just because some reviews are bad

dont deserve to listen to this

the only album i dont really like is with teeth

but that still has some really good songs

  • @Rusty2540

Agreed. There the best industrial metal band ever. In nashville when their special effects manager went missing and when some asshole in the crowd had a laserpointer they still managed a kick ass show.

  • Holy shit !!! Amazing performance !!! Trent Reznor is such a crazy man in the good way :) Thank you for posting this, I got Slip DVD today and it ´s great :)

  • the slip what a great album??

  • Oh my god that is a great guitar sound anyone know any pedals

  • not sure but he plays:

    4-4-4-14-9-10-9-10

    over and over

Finck is amazing. love him in NIN

  • *-* my god

  • New album? NIN is over for a while. Keep up with the news.

  • they need to stay in that configuration.

Freese is God on the drums here, and Cortini is just incredible.

I want Trent to use these guys for his new album. The Slip was a good example why. I was at the Sacramento show and songs like this just felt...natural.

  • Freese and Cortini both left a while ago.

  • I know, but I sincerely pray that they both return.

  • Also, NIN is going on hiatus, so no new album for probably a long while.

  • yea after a world tour, most bands do it anyway

  • If Finck is there then were okay I think

  • God, what a fu**ing brilliant song!!!

  • hahaha robin is just great, maybe the best guitarist NIN have had.

he is a genius. this, echoplex, and 1000000 are great in the guitar, and in ghosts justin does an exelent job

  • ive loved nin ever since the downward spiral and i finally get to see them next month i cant fucken wait. love this song

  • Im glad that cocksucka NORTH is gone.

spent more time tryin to make his guitar fly than he did playin it.

    dildo.

  • agreed

  • @jenEMT23 i know the guy who kinda replaced north in his old band, the icarus line. not too well, mind you, but we've chilled and been drunk together in a "kickback" environment. i just thought it was kinda cool that i had that connection to NIN, however indirect.

  • @jenEMT23 I never did care for him. I do miss Charlie Clouser, but he's made his music other places. Who is the bass player here?

  • @ZeppIVPEZ Justin Meldal-Johnsen, amazing bass player, has played with Beck and countless other people.

  • @jenEMT23 thats so true!

  • @jenEMT23 So very true sir

  • @jenEMT23 come on ¡¡ you know that is bullshit aaron north is fricking good if u dont belive me go check his live performance with nin or with any other band

  • @CMACHT000 He is not arguing if he is bad at guitar...but thruth be told...his guitar was either spinning around him or flying through the stage...oh well...it was good for the show i guess.

  • @jenEMT23 LMAO true but I think he was really good for when Robin was in the band, I don't think there are many other people who would have done as good

  • @jenEMT23 The members Trent used on the the wave goodbye tour were probably my favourite in the whole of the NIN touring history.... hopefully so far

  • Enough of this discussion about who plays the instruments. Here is the final word: Trent clones himself, and plays every instrument. With the exception of drums of course :)

  • this is an amazing song from there new album.

    :)

  • wes borland are u stupid

  • right before the last limp bizkit album came out wes coulda joined but he turned it down to go back to limp then left like a few months after that lol bad career discision in my opinion:P

  • Robin Finck is the real deal, Wes is just some guitar shredding appegio playing cock. I hope he enjoys his coloured contact lenses and fucking awful music with fat Freddy. Nice going Wes.

  • Wes does vocals in the band Black Light Burns now which is a lot better than limp bizkit.

  • wow interesting to see the new band, glad josh is still there, i wish wes borland would have joined!

  • he-huh

  • Dave Grohl for new NIN drummer!

joking. but seriously, i'd love to see him on tour with them if the Foo took time off.

  • josh and dave are totally different drummers. one is definitely better than the other

  • Wait, is Josh Freese leaving NiN? I haven't kept up with all the news.

  • Yeah after the current tour. :[

  • Funky song!

  • This is a good aerobic song!

  • hehehehe

  • His hair actually scares me a little

  • Robin is much better suited for NIN. He just seemed kind of out of place in GnR, you know, because he's not a whinny bitch like Axl.

  • I agree. He still has that sick industrial look that they all used to have

  • Yes, his dreads/mohawk hair says it all.

  • finally someone recognize robin finck as one of the most influential guitarist of all time¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • is Trent still single?

  • there should be a robin fink signature les paul and a jmj signature thunderbird. that would be really fucking cool.

  • agreed!!

  • i belong to NIN army from now and on

  • im really interested to see who trent chooses for a drummer once josh leaves.

  • Dave Grohl! Dave Grohl! DAVE GROHL!!!

  • Comment removed

  • he was awesome with that he did with NIN, imagine a collaboration :O

  • and let someone else ruin pristine music?

  • Dave is the king of playing to good rock songs and he could probably play with Nine Inch Nails but it would be a challenge for him, filling Josh Freese's shoes will be very difficult.

  • Love the ending, where everyones singing

  • such a great tune !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love this song! Such a good beat to it. Trent is the man, I swear he can do anything. Each album has been a totally different feel to it, so NIN never sound the same.

It seems like Trent is referencing his old self in this song when he says "Is my viciousness losing ground?"

Many people say that after Trent got clean that NIN music has been crap. I have to disagree, it's different definitely but I like the direction.

  • I think a bit of a "earthy" sound with a pro life attitude. I think that fits perfectly.

  • Yeah! this is how modern rock should sound!!!

  • Look it up on wiki, I know for these guys are from some other bands.

  • anyone know where i can this in high quality?

  • Yeah, buy The Slip CD/DVD.

  • Find the CD "The Slip" and you get a DVD with these videos on it.

  • And the coolest thing is that they look like they're having a blast. And they should, Trent has assembled an amazing line up.

  • I miss north :-(

  • i do too :(

  • I have heard that Josh Freeze -is that his right name?- will left the band in November

  • me too and donny lohner

  • Whos that? The bass player?

  • Justin Meldal-Johnsen, former bass player for Beck.

  • donny lohner is the old base before jeordie white during the downward spiral and the fragile albums

  • This lineup is amazing

  • great drumming by josh

  • great everything by everyone is more like it.

  • this song makes me wanna dance and i just loooooove it.

  • just saw nin a few days ago. it was the most incredible thing i have ever seen/heard. although trent was shorter then i imagined him being.

  • ofcourse because. Won't be long till the flaming begin..

  • I think there should be a Nine Inch Nails day.

  • That my friend is one of the greatest ideas I've heard in a long time.

  • Well thanks man lol but if there is it should be May 17th TR's b-day

  • josh freese = robotic drummer (thats a good thing)

  • Yeah, he's just so... precise. And fluent.

  • Yeah o.õ

  • so grateful for these videos on the album! just got it a few days ago

  • Impressing!I prefer this live that sound in the video!

  • what happen with jordie white and aroon??... well robin finck kick ass like in the old times...

  • Jeordie got back with Marilyn Manson and Aaron plays in Jubilee if I'm not totally incorrect.

  • our correct, although i miss them lol

  • wow... your video is really low quality. but awesome song

  • FUCKING AWESOME

    we love you trent..

  • this josh freese drum kit sounds so fucking awesome!, does anyone know what drums does he use? or how it was recorded?

  • They're DW drums. Think he uses 24 kick, 14 rack, 16 floor( to his left), 18 and 20 floors too. have no idea about the depths though.

  • he use a special DW kit

  • In any case, they did it quite well o_^

  • Imagine......these guys are AT WORK right now

  • i agree with sagan...although i think everybodys different tastes have to come into consideration, the general listener of the general pop rock genre has no real connection to the lyrics of the song, just get caught up with the general feel/gist and buzz words being sproted and latch on to them without any realy attention payed to talent or even its similarity to other music around...similarity breeds some sort of contentment with most and greedy labels are happy to explote this unfortunate fact.

  • this song is so hot!the lyrics are just intoxicating, and trent makes it soooo much sexier.this performance is amazing!

  • Hey, your link to this video in your other videos' descriptions is messed up, just so you know.

  • thanks for the heads up... it's all sorted now

  • Wouldn't that be "thanks for the heads down" XP

  • i love how this song sounds live.

  • the new guy on bass justin meldal johnsen used to play bass on the tori amos record "from the choirgirl hotel and also on most of the songs from strange little girls (including her kick-ass cover version for Heart of gold) another NIN sideman adrian belew also played guitars on that record --- whoaaaa, i sometimes wonder if tori and trent recruit musicians from the same pool, hahaha... anyway, i can't wait to see them live in europe again, i've been to the with teeth and year zero tour already.

  • Justin has also played with Beck and Ima Robot.

  • It's an interesting thought, but JMJ was told about the job by Josh Freese, and went and auditioned.

  • haha what the hell is robin wearing

  • some sort of poncho? maybe?

looks like something you get at those ethnic shops.

  • i like nin because it isn't the same thing over and over again over the years, if you look at where it started, and where it has gone, and where it is now, its one awesome trip.

  • you speak the truth. it's been about 20 years and not one album is copy cat of another. always a different sound and theme.

  • you couldnt be more right. if you look at pretty hate machine and then look at this its crazy how far they have come

  • Then you look at AC/DC and it is all the exact same thing.

  • what? lol

  • I'm like 1 out of 24 people from my part of the world listening to NIN which makes me wonder what the heck is wrong with the people back in my place.. all Trent's work should be appreciated~ LL NIN!

  • Musical taste of the regular consumer is dictated by the industry, thru over exposure of their top sellers on the media. Most of the people who like radio-friendly singles are not even aware of the full work of those artists, and radio is full of playlists sponsored and bought by industry tycoons that aim for the profit. Some luxurious image is also sold via videoclips (hip-hop is he best example, lousy hip-hop that is...) to captivate the bent-over sore consumer...

  • Beyond this world. Go Trent!

  • LOVE IT.

  • twiggy is with marilyn manson

  • Twiggy Ramirez(Jeordie White) is not a personnel of NIN anymore.

He has been replaced by Justin Meldal-Johnsen.

  • but atleast justin is the only one in nin history with a jewfro and hase sure changed over the years

  • Nothin' beats a good jewfro on a bassit, that's for sure. You may see a lot of partialfros and blackfros, but none compare to the might of the jewfro. Is JMJ even Jewish? I highly doubt it.

  • fuck! Nice!
