  • Thanks for this video, can you give me a little more specifics on the location of the panel covering the drain plug on a e320 , I believe it is on the passenger side underneath car but is it after the left front tire,or somewhere in the area of the passenger door? please give us a very specific location. thanks.

  • how can reset the mantanience service in the panel. Great video bro

  • great sharing, thank you very much! :-)

  • wow its a bitch to do it on that car

  • goddam 9 fucking quarts...

  • this is not a oil change its a filter change.

  • Do you know how to reset the setting on the dashboard so it won't say service b needed after the oil change? thanks

  • @tingyangs yes i do il look for it but il give you the exact site for you.

  • Thanks very helpful.

  • what part of trinidad ya from?

  • @CDNKushOnly im from St.vincent but used to go to T&T a few times

  • i've been looking for that black cap to remove the oil housing cap. where did you purchase yours?

  • @DavidOv54367 i bought mine from Autozone (oil filter socket 3/8 drive) you could prob find one at auto parts store Pep boys, napa ext..... Good luck

  • "Oil drain....so you don't piss Al Gore off"

  • how complicated.. on my merc 240D -83 just tap the oil out from the bottom of oil pan and fill with new, no panels in the way. ;)

  • @coolakiIlen007 hahahahaha funny but soo true!! and your car was built when they (Mercedes) really wanted the cars to outlive the owner .

  • good video man. I have a 95 C220 (base model). I have seen the oil filter on top which is great. I don't think I have this panel underneath but are the panels necessary? What is the purpose of them?

  • @nsxt290 the panels are to reduce drag, protect the underside and to regulate temps in the engine bay.

  • YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO OIL THOSE O-RINGS BEFORE RE-INSTALL. THIS IS A CRITICAL PART OF DOING A OIL CHANGE ON ANY CAR. IF THOSE O-RINGS BIND WHEN RE-INSTALLED AND YOU YOU WILL LOSE OIL PRESSURE AND DAMAGE YOUR ENGINE.

  • Great video... thanks, save me some cash... Benz mechanic charges an arm and a leg...times are hard have to same some cash..

  • Awesome video!! Thanks man

  • Awesome video!! Thanks man

  • awesome video jason. thanks dude. now i can do mine myself. wasnt positive on how to do it so i woulnt touch it. now i can. thanks again.

  • @Nissannx2000svg. Have you used Shell helix ultra engine oil?

  • @nishkov No ive never attempted that i just use whats in the factory recommendations.

  • one thing i like about mercs is that they put the oil filter right on top where it's easy to get to; which is quite the opposite of how most car manufacturers do it; my moms 04 nissan maxima required to go under the car and to the back of the engine to get the oil filter...seriously

  • How do you reset service light on 2006 ML500 Mercedes?

  • How do you reset service light on 2006 ML500?

  • You can get an oil filter socket at any auto parts store, Target, Wal-mart, etc. As the host mentioned, you need to find a socket that will fit the Mercedes oil filter cap. That can get trickey. Maybe you could measure the width of the black filter cap and then buy a socket that has has the same measurement.

  • @socalruss I picked mine up at AutoZone ,they where nice enough to let me take out a few of them to the parking lot to see which one fits.

  • Good video. Thanks! An alternative is to suck the oil out of the dipstick tube with a hand pump - saves you going underneath the vehicle. Either way works, though, and your video really helped me during my first oil change.

  • Thanks, man. Great vid.

  • I got it from Autozone ,you'l have to keep trying trying a few of em to get the correct pattern so keep the car near by.

  • Hey, I was wondering where did you get the oil filter socket?

  • Hey! I love videos like these but I was wondering if mobil 1 makes 0w-40 in a 5quarts in a single container? Cuz i know it's WAY!! cheaper like that.Next video you should do the oil change on the G37 "S" lol

  • @ncgro86 No ive never seen it in the 5 quart ,but i pick mine up from Wall Mart $6.40 a quart ,The G37 belongs to my cousin he takes it to the dealer.

  • Great Video....

  • its good to put some oil into new filter...

  • @kubaSWAT top fed filters dont really need to be primed.

  • @Nissannx2000svg : yea i know that its unnessesary, but its good thing to do that

  • @kubaSWAT gotcha

  • buy a wix it is the same exact thing for $18.00

    (wix 57078)

  • Thx for your response and my car is C320.

  • Do you know if the oil drain for a c320 is in the same lacation (second panel)? Does

It even have one? Or does it need to be sucked out?

  • @natxxx2 Same spot there are 6 #8mm screws that hold the panel up and the drain plug sits on the side of the pan closer to the front use a 13mm wrench to remove it

  • Thank you for the video man. This helped out a lot. Perfect step by step.

A couple questions, in the manual, it says to put 5.8 qts in. You say to put in 8? Why the difference? I went with the manuals suggestion and put in 5.5 with the intent to check the level and add if necessary. However, I cannot find how to check the level on the console. I have an 06 C230 V6 Sport. It has a dip stick, so maybe I cant even check in the console? Any ideas?

    Thanks again

  • @Thirteen31 glad i could be of some help, its sounds like we have the same car im not sure why yours is saying 5.8 quarts maybe there's a difference between "U.S" and "EDM" when it comes to measurements but it does take 8.5 Quarts. My moms BF has a 93 BMW 318is and its a 4 cylinder and it takes almost 8 quarts. As for the dipstick its under the hood to the left rear side behind the motor "yellow stick" .Oil intervals are 7500 miles if you use the correct oil GOOD LUCK!!!

  • are you sure its not up to the first line?

  • @PiranhaJaw22 No because the filter will block or restrict oil flow.

  • omg, where is the oil drain video, how do I do it? Did you complete the video that I can look at? Good work though, maybe I'll try myself. Also wat was the cost on the filter and the oil itself?

  • @thebigbigdaddy The oil drain is under the second panel facing out from the oil pan (13mm bolt) make sure you go slow because oil comes gushing out really fast ,as for the filter i think its $15 from the dealer (il check again) the oil is about 8 bucks a quart youl need 8 1/2 of those. Thank GOD the intervals are at 7500 miles!!

  • @Nissannx2000svg so if it that expensive why not get it done for \$25 from a machince

  • @bettafish110 it will cost you more to have it done at a shop (im a Mechanic) Just the oil alone brings the cost up then it does not take 5 mins to change due to underbody panels and O ring replacements ,Your looking at almost $300 in an oil change alone.think thats costly?? try a Mclarean Mercedes $10K oil change

  • @Nissannx2000svg WOW lol 10k my cars not even worth that much lol iam taking auto in school found out the the more higher class cars that alot more liters like a mazda 3 only takes 4 1/2 liters and some mercedes takes 13 liters (thats even to much for me) so after how long do u have to change oil on the mclarean mercedes lol and how many liters does it take also why the hell is it that expensive so a oil change is thre alot of panels or wat lol

    Thankz bro iam gonna subscribe

  • @bettafish110 the oil intervals are at every 7500 miles and yes there are a hell of alot of work getting the panels of that car the bottom is super flat.

  • this video is great man, can you make a video on the same car but changing the sparkplugs please if you can?

  • @cisnerosxv3 Soon

  • this is awesome . very detailed for dumb people like me !!!! Glad to learn this !! Iam bout to go change the oil on my c280 right now !! Thanks Jason

  • @1rockcaine most welcome bro!

  • could you tell me if the 2009 c300 has the filter in the same location??

  • @sidhucer00789 Im not sure i would believe so ,most Mercs carry there oil filters in the same area.

  • @sidhucer00789 : Yes :)

  • 2.5L is a V6 from the M272 series, M271 are straight 4 engines 1.8L or 1.6L!

    Nice Video!

  • Good work bro....

  • @bigvicbkjauto Thanks B .
