I got the program about a week ago and I really love it, but could you help me out? I know this is a total nubhat question, but I'm using several different basslines with all the same instruments, and I just want to mute certain ones in different combinations, but when ever I mute one of them in the Beat and Bassline editor, it applies the mute to each of my basslines, even though I only have one selected. Help?

I am a beginner and I also use LMMS. It's a bit buggy, but if you can get past that, it is a really nice software. Check out my first song if you want to see what a teenage kid can do with LMMS!

@xlapj001 CamStudio is for Windows and he's using Linux. From what I can tell it's Ubuntu. ;) Yup, it is. Read the description. ;) For Linux it's best to use recordMyDesktop. :)

How is that drum build done, where the drums start slow and play faster (like a roll) at 2:56 and 4:07? Everyone's heard this: it starts with 1/4 notes then plays faster till you get like 64th notes or something.

It would take forever to place each note by itself, so there's got to be a way to do this.

lmms is quite functional, if on linux, try getting a kernel that has fast response time or the rt feature, and dont overload cpu with too many synths!

Yeah, LMMS has a tendency to crash. You have to make sure you save all the time...as I learned the hard way.

Search for LMMS - White Tulip & LMMS - Dream Log1c. I made those using LMMS.
