  • how do you turn on edison??

  • with the 'scissor' butten on the right hand upper side or in the mixer

  • When I turn on the metronome it records it with the track. How do I make it not do that? I need the metronome on the stay on beat.

  • Hi fortyfourcaliber, you may have your Edison in the Master MIxer Insert thus it will record ALL audio being played in FL Studio. Try using Edison on a a Mixer Insert other than the Master. Let me know how that works out for you.

  • Thanks, that fixed the recording everything with it problem. But now I can't hear the metronome..

  • @SampleSimple How do I do that? I'm trying to get FL Keys on one track, and the metronome on the master track. How do I do this?

  • @l0lum4d HI - Add Edison to the mixer insert track for each instrument. For example, you'd add Edison to your FL Keys instrument on Track 1. Is that what you meant?

  • can you explain how to route a sound source to edison?

  • Hi whiteboi745i, please watch the Sampling with FL Studio Edison video here on SampleSimple. You may also want to check out our MICVOX Template for FL Studio which features a detailed rundown of how to record audio into FL Studio.

  • what is the name of the song and artists

in the end of this vid????

  • Hi mannys737, the name of this song is called "Hip Hop Again" by Kool Cas produced by Wallholder of SampleSimple. This track is from the Kool Cas 'BACKPACK' EP.

  • Im Confused, in the mixer, where it says input, it is blank, and when i try to click it, some next help file comes up, btw i have a built in mic, any ideas?

  • the sound dude yeah its choppy iunno its not that bad im watching it right now again i think i was just really stoned lol

  • LOL, cool mang. Yea the sound in this video is a bit questionable but I think its easy to follow. Has this technique worked for you?

  • your vid is really bad qaulity

  • Oh yea? How so? Is it choppy or something?

  • No problems when doing tis, but when I load my samples to FPC the sounds overlap. How do I stop that?

  • ay i need some help..i was on edison and i accidentally pressed some buttons and now instead of a regular curser i have what looks like a plus sign..i cant select anything and when i click it just goes to the file open menu...help me out..

  • Nice tip mate! thx alot..

with all the new features in FL8 imabout to give op my mpc2000xl... thanks for showing light i the dark :)

  • I have a USB turntable, So how do I record directly from the turntable on to Edison? I can't seem to get the USB Codec thing on the input on the mixer..

  • Hi HipHopHead216, whats great about USB turntables is that they usually come with ASIO based drivers to directly record its signal. Try selecting the turntables USB ASIO device from the audio settings. Then in the mixer IN port, select the ASIO device again. Then add a new Edison. Let me know how it goes from there.

  • all the sound on my fruity loops has completley gone, do you or anyone els know what i can do to get the sound back?

  • Hi flaminstar, try switching back to your core soundcard.

  • I've tried your process and I worked with Edison and its still sending the sample the way I DON"T want it. Even after I've marked the parts in edison that I want to play out of my akai MPD and my akai MPK.... 2 things happen:1st the sample doesn't come up chopped the way I want it?2nd when I trigger the sample it plays slow or all out of wack?Fam, I got a nice computer, 2gigs of ram,LEGAL software and I still can't get it rocking, what the hell am I missing?

  • This is also a known issue here at SampleSimple. Try selecting back to your "real" soundcard.

  • yo i fixed it thankx hey did u know im sandwichkemao1 too?

lol weird i dont even use it!!! lol

  • We're glad this helped UNiqEz. Stay tuned for more videos today.

  • Hmm, but selecting back to the other soundcard I can't record anything. Can't FL do both at once?

  • Hi dynpan, Unfortunately there are minor limitations with FL Studio. Very minor ones that I'm sure will be addressed and resolved in newer versions of the prograrm. For now you may need to switch back and forth between your core soundcard and ASIO.

  • well, mine worked, it was in ASIO and i could hear sound and record voice at the same time, but wen i switched back to main driver to watch a vid, then swithed back, it didnt work, so idk

  • omg where to get this edison plug-in

  • Edison is in the latest version of FL Studio.

  • someone told me you could record external audio (like a guitar or vocals) live with edison while the song is playing like it was audition but i can't figure out how to route my usb amp through to edison???

  • Make sure you have the ASIO driver selected in the audio settings and also select the soundcard device in the Mixer IN port.

Thanks for checking out the video man. There will be more to come.

  • The sound source coming into Edison is a keyboards output connected to the MIC port on a simple built-in soundcard to the Windows XP computer.
