I worked as a guide and supervisor at MKC for 3 years and left because of that picture. As a spiritualist I do believe in life after physical death, but the photo is a photoshoped picture of a manager released by pr to coincide with ghostfest 2009. Sorry to dissapoint.
Its not real. I'm a psychic and I feel nothing when I look at this photo. Usually when I look at a photo that has a real captures image I sense it. I was in The Real Mary's close a day ago, and I can tell you Annies room was cold and unbearable, that room I believe to be haunted.

ive been to mary kings close about 23 times and its creepy, eerie, spooky because real people lived and died down there. That place was once drenched with disease so its going to play tricks with your mind. I belive in ghosts but when people make it up it just stinks.
I used to work at the real mary kings close as a guide, i worked there when this photo was taken,as staff were told it was real but it had been taken before ghostfest and kept for pr. a month before i left i was told by a drunk manager that it was her and the thing had been a set up to get media interest. I was disgusted by this and it is partially to blame for my resignation from the close. I believe this is wrong and we should not be playing with people who believe in the paranormals emotions.
yeah, i used to work on retail there. if you ever go just look in the gift shop the real paper article is there :) its such a good place to visit :( i had to leave working there though due to school
MKC is an awesome place, i've done vigils there and gone on the tours. I love the old city of Edinburgh its just like stepping into the past. Thank you for u comment:)

but the sad thing is no matter how much real evidence you capture some stuck up ignorant skeptic will just say its aphoto shop or double exposure and stuff like that! i hate these close minded people

when you go there ask about this photo, they may even mention it during a tour. ask if they had it analyzed, I'd love to know what they found out about it.
definetly a ghost me and my school class went and we got a pic tooken and that same ghost was there
