  • HOW DO U DOWNLOAD SOFTWARE COS I WANT FLASH ON MINE

  • My laptop is 1.83 gHz core duo, 3 G RAM, plenty of space, is this a good setup for using the cintiq or should I get some upgrade?

Also, where is the cheapest place I can find this cintiq?

  • i have a question.. does the cintiq come with the programs? ex photoshop

  • is any software included with this like cs3?

  • Corel Painter Essentials 3

  • Can any one tell me where i can get a good quality screen protector from

  • Google for nushield and photodon.

  • wait a minute 2:00 this is not the A4 o_O

the A4 is bigger i have one now in front of me

    this is A5 wide

  • Does anyone know if there is anything better than the Cintiq 21ux ? I mean this video was made in 2007... so I wonder if there has been made any advancements? PLEASE ANSWER!

  • I dont think so...the drivers were updated since then, but I dont think this can get any better...but in any case, wacom is the leader in the tablet business

  • Yes they (WACOM) made new generation Cintiq 21 with more pressure levels and buttons all around that's all not big deal.

  • what a gorgeous set up he has..

  • Take a look at the tablet PCs to. There is to many hardware and to little cash. :)

Don't listen to any body but your 6-Th sense.

  • Your Cintiq can be used from computer to computer... if your PC Tablet dies (lot more can go wrong on a PC Tab than a Cintiq) you got a nifty deskweight.

I have the 12WX, and its cranked up my production and ability to complete projects waay faster than scanning/pen-tableting. I cannot imagine going back to my old Wacom Graphire.

  • Do you have any input on the tablet PC front? I've been considering getting one but I need a model that was made with artists specifically in mind. Any thoughts?

  • when are they going to releasr a new 21 inch cintiq? its bn out for ever! ive got the money to buy it but i would rather wait for a refresh as 2 years with no update... it must b done soon! =) any1 know?

  • Ask WACOM support and share with us all news.

  • There is no point to wait for something that you never saw or even heard about. !

    Now Cintiq 21 have 16.7 million colours (24 bit) - UXGA (1,600 x 1,200 Pixel) ; 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity...

Put one good screen protector above it and draw till you bleed.

  • Dont put screen protector on, it makes ur 2 years garantee vanish forever, besides Wacom promise u that none of ther pens would EVER make a scratch in the Cintiq's if they do even after the garantee is gone u get another one.

  • No it will not void your guarantee.

This topic was discussed not ones in WACOM's forums. Read first talk later.

  • the really large intuos is to big for alot of artist. unless u wanna have ur hand doing alot of traveling. the 2nd bigest sit great. if u use to drawing in sketchbooks. it would feel more natural.

  • Where you get money for all of this ? )

  • Look at the art piece on the screen, I think thats a hint :P

  • i want the smaller cintiq.

the big one is too expensive!!

  • You should, I own a Cintiq 12wx, and it is exactly the same quality as the one you see on this video.

  • i know !!

i buy now the new bamboo fun medium

i want to test wacom products! ^^

  • @dejakhalz you should do your research.

alot of artists/owners of the 12wx complain about the thing.

When you buy such an expensive machine it has to be perfect. that's why it's better to save up the money for the 21ux.

Be honest, there are some things that you've noticed bout the 12wx that are not supposed to be.

  • @motosuwaurbyz I am honest, I noticed nothing wrong with my 12wx... +I don't have to do research since I have used them both.

  • Gah! I just checked amazon and they're selling the Cintiq 21UX for £1999.99

How the FLIP am I meant to save up for that?!

  • =/ the cintiqs..kinda laggy draggy XD ... im having a hard time choosing a intuo extra large with my dell 30inch ultrasharp or empty my pocket and get the cintiq and draw real time and deal with a bit of lag..

  • The lag depends of graphic card, CPU power and RAM mainly !

    BUT !

If you want to speed up something you must remove the unneeded weight and give it space and air to breath freely.

Every crappy software must be erased from your fast HDD and after that full triple defragmentation with professional defragmentator. You have to find and kill any unneeded EXE, any unknown process in your task manager that you can live without it must be stopped.

  • ...And finaly if someone think that can use true good antivirus program for free he is incredible naive. Guys that make good antivir scanners are the best hackers on the earth and they know how to make you pay for it.

  • seems like u know ur stuff XD um im currently useing asus p6t7 ws supercomputer motherboard, intel core I7 975, 12GB corsair dominator gt-tr3x6g tri channel, leadtek quadro fx 4800, as for antivirus im useing norton 360. as for HDD hmm maybe i need to upgrade but im to lazy im still useing 2x WD cavilar black 1T in raid . those SSD look fancy but not sure if the moneys worth it ..i dont have the money to get those SSD at the moment cause i only saved enough for a cintiq lol

  • You have enough for three Cintiq's so now you have to put aside triple. lol I hope you use all potential as smart as you can.

  • hopefully iv saving up for this baby for quite sometime now

  • The lag was due to his computer not being able to keep up. It's not the tablet display's fault.

  • lol i dont think so.

the intuos -series are the best tablet.

my cousen has a cintiq and his pc are fast( triple core overlocked) and this tablet sucks. i have the intuos4 size m and that are the one of the best tablet i ever used.

  • cintiq sucks. the reaktiontime are to slow and they need many space. intuos are the best!

  • You need a more powerful machine. You probably get the same lag with your intuos but don't notice it because the screen and tablet are separate.

  • They are so expensive!!! Why can't they come down in price! Arghhh, they look so AWESOME.

    Its insane.

  • Must get a job...

  • fuck i think i dont gona get one of this

    deam

i need it i love drawing haha

  • Cintiq 12WX

  • soon the price will drop like vcr's.

  • i hope u r right or else i have to wait like 2 years to get mine.. haha

  • lol he looks rich looking i dont think i can get one .

  • I would like so much tablets too!!!)))

  • Holy shit every thing is soooo big! O_O i wish i had those amazing gadgets!

  • holy jesus christ.

  • Ha-ha-ha...finaly! Wacom supporters start to encourage Cintiq users to use screen protectors officialy:

    "Re: Cintiq 12WX - Multi-Monitor and scratches

Postby Wacom on Tue 27. Jan 2009, 10:10

... It may be a good idea to use a protective sheet, but we do not recommend any specific version. User avatar Wacom'

    The link is here: forumDOTwacomDOTeu/viewtopicDOTphp?f=3&t=418

    DOT = .

  • use a glove...

  • Thanks guys for the video...and to all the people on here that have commented on using theirs...I'm considering getting one....I'm glad that the screen protector is an option....good stuff....

  • get a smudgegard. it is going to save you time, hands, screen and brings the feel of moving your hand over the paper

  • It looks as though there is a little lag between the pen strokes and lines being rendered on the screen of the cintiq. Have you found this to be an issue?

  • well there is one but if you disable the distance between double clicking you shouldn't see any lag. Also this lag is more on Painter than PS it's also due RAM. If you have I7 with 8 GB ram (currently most that Corel supports) you won't see lag at all

  • I suspected throwing a ton of ram at the problem might help. I'm saving up for one, so I suppose I just give it the computer it deserves too. Thanks for the reply

  • well it's more GPU related than RAM also if you use XP you are going to see the lack due to USB delay. I have 12 GB RAM in my system on new I7 and I actually don't see the lag at all but I still prefer to disable the double click distance.

  • Thanks, Jeremy. I continue to learn from you.

  • Lenovo ThinkPad W700 Has a BUILT-IN Wacom Tablet and Professional Grade Screen...first steps in this direction.

  • ideally, they could give the 21ux its own CPU so that it could be used as its own computer independent of the pc.

that would be the ultimate work machine

  • if i could i would te problem i dont have 2000 dollars for a tablet right now, even one like cintiq

  • Its not much of a tablet, its a moniter. The actual tablet is only 1000. I like the little one rather than the big ol one thats too big for travel...

  • Hey who's cry?

Extra 3000 EURO in my pockets...I've never saw it in cash and it will never happened.

I have take mine on 4-year leasing.

  • OK... After NINE months of using screen protector for my Cintiq 21UX I finally decide to fight for my customer rights and yesterday I remove the protector from it.

For theProtocol: After removal the Cintiq surface is clean clear and shiny like the new untouched one. There is no any trace or harmful consequences because of the applied screen protector.

So now I'm going to try to remove any scratchy thoughts from my mind and see what's going on after only 2-years left of my European guarantee ;)

  • Right behind the LCD screen surface of any Cintiq lays one Intuos3. Because of that all input devices(pens) are 100% compatible between them. Cintiq surface is some kind of micro abrasive in order to recreate original friction strength between ordinary pen and paper.

  • Lucky... All i have is Bamboo Fun XB

  • Actually I make my jump from Bamboo to.

Mainly Cintiq saves my most expensive thing : TIME.

  • i wish i can afford one . . . that \'s awesome!

  • Keep in mind that jitter and wobble of Cintiq cursor in the end of the screen is also one secret negative disadvantage so actually you can use precisely only the center of the screen. It happened because the elektromagnetik field around the pencil have perfect circle shape and when the pen is in the end of the screen the field form around the pencil is not perfect and Cintiq drivers try to center the cursor somewhere in the center of one very complicated shape in this case...

  • ...So actually you have much little surface for precise drawings with 12wx and that's the main minus in mine opinion.

  • Also.... if you wanna avoid dust behind the glass or screens not glued on... order it online insted of buying at a store it will def. fix ur prob i hve one it ROCKS! u should get it if u like drawing animating illustrtating photo editing all sorts of things!!!

  • Just wanted to tell every one... DO NOT BUY A SCREEN PROTECTOR FOR YOUR CINTIQ OR WACOM TABLET!! it will permanently damage the sreen and the purpose of the screen was to be strong and sturdy....plus if u ask the people that work at wacom they all say that if you send ur tablet to berepaired an it has a screen protector which is what probably messed it up... it will end your two year warranty and they will send it right back...DO NOT BUY A SCREEN PROTECTOR!!!!!!!!!

  • I personally wrote to wacom support and ask for any recommended protectors and they don't say nothing in this kind.

I use screen protector for seven month and have no any problems.

And how can I when my genuine high quality screen protector protects my Cintiq even from UV, it does not interfere with a touch

display reusable and washable super thin, incomparable optically clear, fingerprint-free...

  • ...special super thin multi-layer polymer

technology with Silicon Adhesive -Coating Glue-Free, leaves NO RESIDUE when you remove it from LCD that's why it is

    washable and Reusable.

You can simply wash it with water to remove eventual strong dirt and re-apply again to the LCD because it have

no glue witch can be washed out from it. Somebody must to wake up in the real world where thousand of touchscreen devices are supplied originally with screen protectors

    from their loyal supporters. Ha?!

  • I hope and pray your words are true. No really I'm a big fan of Cintiq but please understand my frustration after my unhappy experience just after few weeks of very gentle use.

Can you share internal information (ofcourse absolutely unofficial) here with us about what you do or intend to do about resistance of the screen surface of the new 21UX Cintiqs?

  • I had 2 Cintiqs

BOTh had DUST BEHIND the glass...these show up as little white or black SPOTS on your screen. VERY distracting, not to mention LIGHTLEAK.

They need to come up with a better model. Cintiq 21 is so outdated.

  • Are you shore it is dust and not burning pixels? Well that's something new...How long it takes before dust penetrate in your Cintiqs?

Are they in guarantee period yet and if not why don't you try to clean the dust watching your steps gently.

  • No, it was dust and like a million fibers. I sent it back to get cleaned out, it came back with the particles just moved around! I finally got a full refund after 4 months of trouble, but I am so scared to ever get another

  • What the Hell?

Can you post here your corresponding with wacom brainiacs?

  • Let us all here share info about what how and from where we have buy to protect our Cintiqs!

I'v take mine screen protector from "screenpatronus".

    Screen Size: 43.50cm x 33.0cm

    Amount: $ 33.49 USD

The protector is clear smooth an good to draw but glare like ordinary glass witch is minus.

Since I start to use it I found that the pen nibs stays forever new and untouched like eternal whichs Good News!

Please share info about your protectors here.

  • Thanks for the tips. I think I might have read a few of your posts before the forum shutdown.

I have a question: did you use the plastic nibs or the felt nibs before you noticed scratches?

  • After unpacking I have use only default plastic white nib into the grip pen. But after the scratches become visible I had start to use those nibs with spring inside because they are the softener of all.

Screen protector have no any trace of my intensive 6-month 12-hour daily work that's why I encourage everybody to use some...and the nib stays really like eternal because protector is so smooth that almost have no harmful friction with it.

  • Very important Cintiq info:

Immediately buy your self good screen protector for your new CINTIQ! The screen is TOO SOFT but nobody told you that isn't it...Now breathe deeply as I and try to RELAX...3000 EU...what the F...

After couple of weeks during ordinary use of your shiny new LCD Cintiq you'll start to see tiny little scratches on its display...they will grow in time if you have no any screen protector above it so do not waste your time and find one for your preciousss!

  • My scratches are shallow enough that I can't feel them with my fingertips nor with point of the pen but they grow every single day and will be more and more visible in the future and this is inevitable.

I make my own investigation and you know what there is thousand scratch resistable transparent polymers like for example LEXAN

which is even bullet resistable... there is absolute no obstacles in front of wacom engineers to made even bulletproof Cintiqs...

  • ...Lexan is used in windscreens and other windows, but can be found in household items,

such as bottles, compact discs, and DVDs.

Perhaps the most visible Lexan consumer product is the Apple Computer iBook and the iPod — the gleaming white plastic is Lexan.

It also is used by Nalgene for their 1-liter wide mouth water bottle, popular with hikers and mountaineers...and many more:

    en[dot]wikipedia[dot]org/wiki/Lexan

  • Don't get me wrong the Cintiq is almost perfect but nothing is perfect at all.

And WACOM...PLEASE quickly do something about hardness and resistances of your Cintiq LCD surface...and PLEASE stop to hide your forum behind this stupid: "Due to maintenance work the Wacom Forum remains closed and will re-open in the next days." Actually me and five other wacom-forum users...we found that all we have new Cintiqs with this problem. I think WACOM closed the forum because of our postings...how cheap!

  • What Tool were you just using?

  • I've been looking too and I found it! it's Artist: Sergent Brush.

  • Great (commercial for Wacom)! What's your opinion of the new Cintiq 12WX?

  • I like it better then the UX, you have access to the keyboard. (CTRL-Z!)

  • thank you for showing this, it was very informative. :)

  • Hi there. I have only Cintiq-21UX witch is the best non paper graphic digital solution I found. The little one Cintiq-12WX have some restrictions like moving, rotating and screen size but the main difference is the decreased size and better mobility with 12WX.
