@iTheGeek with the g 27 you can set it to were you have to use it, or you can straight shift with either the shifter or pedals. I agree though, clutch is the only way

Why the hell do you people keep asking this question; Logitech didn't put it there for keep your toes warm. If the wheel is hooked up to a game that simulate a clutch then yes, you can use it. GT5 doesn't really have this feature, so using it in the game is pretty much superfluous.

@airbusA5000 well there are professional units that actually tilt and depending on the terrain wil make it feel lik eyour sittin g in the car, but thats 12,000 then you have to buy the unilt which is the seat, and the steering colomn, , which the "movement unit connects to, all together with the wheele and the 2 units about $18,000" us dollar lol but this one probably about 500 bucks

I'd love a set up like this, but I have a few questions about the gear selector... They are all 6 way and most cars having 6 gears that leaves no room for reverse, how does that work? I know i'll not need it often, unless I happen to meet a railing somewhere, but i'd still like to know before I buy. Also, what about 7 gear cars like the Formula 1 cars and the Veyron, how do you select 7th gear?

The reverse is a pushdown gear. For 7th gear cars you can just tap the paddle shifter and get into 7th, then once you hit the clutch it will go back into the H-pattern shifter mode.

I just bought the G27 wheel for GT5 and I'm not sure if you guys have the same problem but im running into an issue with the 6 speed shifter. When I shift there are times when the gears aren't accurate, I'll put in on gear 4 and it will show as gear 2, sometimes I put gear 3 and it shows Neutral instead. Have you guys ran into this problem?

1 plug the unit in and switch it on (some people forget to switch it on and plug it in properly, more that u think).

2 remember to press triangle after a race start (for clutch)

3 make sure ur wheel dose actually work.

4 make sure u plug it into the system and all the leeds are in the right place.

i really want to get this set up but theres one thing which is bothering me, i noticed in videos involving the g27, not jus this one, that when ur playin and ur turnin the wheel, theres a very slight delay in the steering in the game to respond, does this hinder total control over the car or is it unaffected? someone fill me in coz this set up looks too good to be true..

Why do you even use the clutch when you are pulling out you didn't even have it set up to use the clutch so it wasn't doing anything tard!...when you up shift you weren't using it so I'm guessing you don't know how to drive cause if you would have it set up to use it when you would up shift without clutch it would not go into next gear!(miss shift) push the triangle button when you start the race and drive it right!

dude i got the exact samew setup but my seat is a black alcantara playseat,. Anyway i noticed that ur wies are all over the playeat frame making it look untidey, here a hint run the wirles through the actual playseat, i done and it looks great... other then that g27 plus playseay is an excillent combo.. loving ti neva piked up a controller for racing games since.
