yea good vid, however my '01 had a slight variation... it required the U shaped tool, not a simple probe like you demonstrated. It required you to insert two in each side, which was not too easy to get the radio out with! You video was a great start though, thanks for posting!
hey man sweet video, but im having trouble trying to get it out, i bought the double din removal kit which it like 2 bent pieces of metal that are supposed to just click in, but one wont go in and the other one is locked into place but wont release the clip, can you help me out please? :)
It looks so easy to pull it out in the video but so far I have no luck when I tried to stick in the screw driver and tried to pull it out. Would a DIN tool help?
Hi, do i need to get a DIN tool if the car stereo is already a Pioneer deck? It's not the manufacturer's stereo, but I want to upgrade to a new deck that has a usb and aux input. Thanks
Is the same procedure for earlier Miata models? I see the video is labeled 99-2006. I have a 93- is it a different process? Thanks for any help you can provide!
I'm about to put a new HU in my '03 MX5 and this will come in major handy! Thanks alot! It's also nice to know you don't have to have the removal tools (since a screwdriver seems to work just as well)

Whoever designed the radio system in this Mazda needs to burn in a special firey pit in hell.
One side of my radio comes loose just fine but the other motherfucker refuses to budge. &)$&! Thanks for the video though, it's right on.

This is great, but not for 2006 Miata. The 2006 dash is completely different from the one in the video.
