Not really sure exactly what I'm doing wrong...I can get up to the loop part no problem, but my air Impact Palms aren't working for me. One of two things always seems to happen:
1. The first air Impact Palm stops the opponent's upward acceleration without stopping mine, so Flames ends up missing.
2. Flames will hit, but the combo will drop immediately afterwards, causing my second air Impact Palm to miss.
I know how to fix the second problem, but not without fixing the first. Any tips?
@EviltoasterofFP I find Mystic Sword L helps to keep rushdown players away.
I'm really not sure what else to do in that situation. Push-block my friend's Zero and then follow-up with Mystic Sword L. Anything else either comes out too slow, has too low priority, or doesn't do enough to make it worth using.
If anyone else has some pointers, PLEASE let me know.
Note to all: The glyph does NOT need to be set up there. It can be just about half screen behind you and flames will still hit properly. You can also TAC into this loop depending on hitstun.
@salindy13 not this particular version. I had an idea of using a Grace to change the trajectory of the fireball, which delays the Flame hitting the opponent thereby reducing the tight spacing for this combo. pretty sure that means you can get more reps out of this too. basically the only glaring flaw I see here is the Impact Palm link after launcher... execution's gonna have to be on point to land those immediately after launching, AND from a weird-ass motion to boot.
WORKING ON THIS RIGHT NOW! we're definitely on to something. you're doing the cr.Hs for a specific number of reps until you get the correct spacing, then it's all S, SJ up-back, Palm xx Flames from there on out, right?
@maziodyneMVC I do the cr. H's just for the extra damage/meter. It stops comboing at the 4th rep. It does bring you backwards however, which makes it easier, but it doesn't have to be done for the combo to work.
However you do have to be some distance back for the palm to connect after the launcher. Jumping backward or straight up helps with this.
The hardest part is getting the 'instant air palm' after a backward super jump, you have to do it fast and not get an air H.
