I can tell you have knowledge on this, and I'm guessing its been many years. You were a jackass for starting and ending your post the way you did. Bpm isn't always tempo and it isn't at a constant 1000bpm (would just sound like dddDDDDDdddd). Your brain is breaking it down on the slower parts and then only focusing on one beat when it speeds up, in which case you are correct, but there are more layers of beats you neglected to account for or your brain has been trained to ignore.

Run it through a bpm counter since you're such a snob about this stuff, there are layers and since the human auditory hears tones instead of beats at high bpm you are focusing on what your max level is. I'm guessing some sort of music major which did not deal with any type of electronic music. BTW, if you do the calculations for temp, as you're talking about with foot tapping, and time...it comes to roughly 900+ bpm

I've played in Jazz bands, but the bpm written on the score is rarely for the fastest part on the song. EX: if the guitarist is playing a fast paced solo or melody that's not how you'd set the tempo (he/she'd be playing double the beat or triple). The drummer in this case happens seems fastest, so unless you insist everyone else is play whole notes??

You don't measure bpm like this. Most people won't ever say anything is past 200-250 bpm. This more obvious by the fact that the drummer is playing at a much faster speed then the slowest person in the band the vocalist. meaning the drummer is most likely playing 32nds or something.. You can still tap your foot to the beat -meaning it's not 1000bpm lol The fastest instrument is rarely the one to set the beat. Sorry I'm just a snob about this stuff

I don't think 1000 BPM is actually possible. When you get that fast, sounds repeat at a frequency around 16 hertz, which is sort of audible in itself, and you're hearing a sort of smeared texture rather than the individual beats its composed of. The implied tempo of this is actually much slower than 1000 BPM.
