  • Man, is there anything you DON'T know about fender guitars? Great explanations, pal.

  • starting at only 1000000000 dollars

  • I live really close to wild wood and I'm friends with steive and I played one the amazing.

  • This guy built my 2002 Showmaster "Custom Shop"

  • This guy (Mike Eldred) used to work at Charvel and Jackson guitars in the 80's!!

  • lol,

looks just like my mexican classic 60's strat

  • besides the fact that americans strats are better than mexi's

  • if god didnt send telecaster joe would think that strat is actual guitar

  • Blah blah blah. Less talkie more playie. It's not a space shuttle.

  • This guy is a custom shop builder. If you're in the market for this guitar you probably care about what this guy has got to say. I have never had a chance to listen to the guy who designed or made any of my guitars....

  • You moron, he built them for Steve. I think he's the best one to talk about them. I've played a bunch, have friends that work up there. They're the best.

  • @arioz1 - 18 times "guitar"..

  • Does anyone know what kind of amp he's playing through here?

  • It's that little nipper on the floor. Looking at the Fender website I think it's a custom shop '57 Champ. Sure sounds good.

  • Note how many time this guy says "Guitar"

  • Yadda yadda...it's a stratocaster. If you can't get this out of a Squire, then go practice.

  • hear, hear, well said ole chap!

  • Different woods and parts polish up the tone. Sure, you can get a lot of Squiers, I do and I love them. But don't be so naive to think a better guitar won't sound better. Also, learn to how to spell SQUIER.

  • Had a Nash strat, and sold it because the difference to me was negligable. I guess my Squier is just a magical one. No I am not naive and you are naive for thinking I am. I have played many CS strats and while yes, woods and parts may be better, I just don't think the price tag for the small difference in tone and feel warrants the purchase. Hope you feel better about my spelling.

  • Don't get me wrong, I love the Squiers and they are really amazing, but really a Custom Shop Strat is better, if you can't tell the difference then it doesn't matter which one you get. Rock on.

  • Forget about those Squiers , this model is just excellent and that's because of the big neck , the sound is full and open and contains all the frecuencies missing on the Squier , I know well , I have 2 old Squiers and a brand new wildwood 10.Rock on.

  • met him yesterday!!

  • Jeff Kollman has one of these.

  • I got one & it's amazing. Worth every penny. Guarantee this WIldwood 10's will appreciate in value in the future.

  • how much did you pay?

  • @joekkl I'm sure they're nice but appreciate in value??? Hahahaha.... Yeah, keep telling yourself that. Gibson dealer tried the "they're investments and appreciate" line of bullshit for the past 20 years. I'm a huge Strat fan and yeah, I know the USA stuff is superior to the import crap. But anybody who thinks one of these Strats is worth $4k is a fool. 99.999% of the mystical, magical "high end" guitar market is complete bullshit.

  • how about a tremelo that stays in tune

  • i have two of these strats and have played many strats and guitars and neither of my wildwood 10's go out of tune with the tremelo like the other guitars ive owned and played. also i sometimes leave one in the case unplayed for a moth and even 2 months and i will pull it out and it is still in tune or slightly off... none of my guitars have ever stayed it tune like that

  • I'm not talking about leaving it in the case and staying in tune

I am talking about satriani type whammy craziness

  • well it stays in tune for me when i use my whammy bar. better than any other guitar ive played. but i only play blues and rock. if you want to play like satriani you'd waste your money. you'd be looking more for an ibanez. somthing with a flatter radius, lower action, and humbuckers.

  • If you have a strat and the trem doesn't stay in tune check out Trem King.

  • just mod the tremelo with a floyd rose lock...tuning stays true all the time...that is if you want to stay with the strat

  • more information please

I don't want to do any modification to the body

I have a fishman piezo type bridge installed

On a strat plus so I have locking tuners

At present. I am thinking about a mod to put locking screws in the saddles

I might be asking to much (locking saddles and piezo pickups)

But Im a bit apprehensive about screwing up an expensive bridge

So I havent moved forward with the idea.

Has anyone tried the discontinued fender floyd?

The one with the big fat saddles

  • It will take a lot of work to fit a strat with a vintage tremolo with a floyd.

  • 1965's model,Remove that ugly color

  • i thiink they use "cadilac" colors but i dont like the color`s too

  • It sounds kind of thin to me.

  • i agree with you about it sounding weak in this video but it is just what he had it running through. it respondes a whole lot more when you run it through the amp of your choice. fender for some reason always uses that weak tone for their examples but they can really hit it.

  • Wow, ten inch radius.

    That's flat!

  • Not really no. 0.5" flatter than 9.5 which is very common. 16" is flat, but the flattest yet most popular radius is probably 12" - 10 inch is just the middle ground between 9.5 and 12.

  • And let me clarify - Even with 16" its not completely flat :)

  • yeah haha... i think my ibanez guitar is 16"

  • i haven't really noticed the difference in radius on these guitars so it is very little. but the selection of woods and overall detail in the making really made this a very comfortable and responsive guitar. if you tried one you would buy it... unless you weren't a strat guy

  • or you dont have the money, lol

  • lol, true

  • My lord that's beautiful, one day I will have a killer Strat like this, oh yes one day.

  • hey Mike, how can I get Custom Shop Pups that are not offered on the shelf without buying a CS Guitar?

  • Why?

  • because i want them u moron

  • looks like a nice strat

  • hairdressers

  • You can check out a review of the Wildwood 10's at guitarfixation.

  • My dream job is working for fender custom shop

  • That guitar sounds nice and rich for a strat, though the notch positions don't sound very hollow or "quacky".

  • My God those are beautiful! Where, when, how much? Do you guys work with Pat's Guitars? They make those beautiful Voodoo Lounge Telecasters with the humbuckers in the neck position. I had one a few years back and it got stolen, I'd love to replace it. Or maybe a Hot Rod Tele with a mini humbucker.

  • pretty sweet

  • I'm not a big fan of rosewood necks.

  • yea me neither , i think maple matches all colors a lot better

  • for me maples have a nicer feel and nicer "snap" too

  • hehehe he alwas does the same bending when he says "it lets you go into that overbend stuff"

  • I bought one of these guitars about a year ago and OMG!! absolutely amazing. It is the 60s relic. I immediately had to sell my old guitars and buy a second. you cannot beat these wildwood 10s. i have footage from my first show playing my white wildwood 10 60s relic if anyones curious. thanks guys for making this guitar. first time i found a guitar that was perfect

  • I would love to see any of your videos with the WW10s. I have the 50s model.

    Thanks

  • i have a ton of videos with the wildwood10s. just go to my profile or search blackcloud1969

  • my buddy just picked up this guitar. Sounds even better than this in person, its amazing

  • trust me. it isnt in the look

  • lol :D:D:D that guy made me laugh...

  • I mean Bockman609 made me laugh read his comment 3d Comment below

  • dude they not just different colors there different pickups, necks, headstocks, body treatments, and modifications.

  • Thats the best sounding strat of these videos

  • so whats your job at the custom shop?

  • He's a Master Builder!

  • cool

  • great demonstration mike!

  • the truss adjustment is at the base of the neck by the bridge pickup.

  • thnk you, y thougt that 2

thank you for help me, sorry for my bad english

  • your stupidity really amazes me!

  • what the hell?
