Our rabbit thumps to wake my daughter up - 6:30 every morning... or when his water bottle is empty... or if the dog is ignoring him. He loves the Jack Russell Terrier but hates the cat.
My rabbit only did that once and it was when he was playing outside my backyard and a cat came though i was with my bunny so the cat couldn't harm him he got scared bad and started stamping for a few mins.
and before any of you start bitching on me for letting him play outside i always stay with him and play with him sorry not trying to sound rude but on every video people start bitching about every small thing ><
Hes either scared, angry, annoyed, or he's warning you about a threat or he see's a danger. I have a full length mirror in my room and when I first got my bun, he started stomping his feet at his reflection , thinking it was a different rabbit. Just tell him its okay and pet him and he's be fine ;)
@DaisyGraceA sounds kinda terrible when said like that. it´s a message to the other rabbits to be alert. it doesn´t just mean danger, it means "be alert, there´s something around here!"
@mofokitten haha i was young when i commented on this.
But it is a sign that there is danger. Like, if a rabbit was totally content in its home, it would probably refrain from that sort of behavior, but if they feel that something bad might be approaching, a predator for that matter, it might stomp its feet.
@DaisyGraceA when my rabbit did thath my female rabbit and her childs ran into the house and the male run 1 minute later after stomping into the ground and he did a weird sound to it sound like a bird
@DaisyGraceA Lol I've done the same thing. If you look at a comment I posted a few years ago and one I posted now... it looks like a totally different person XD
I bet being close-minded is just a kid thing that is eventually grown out of.... most of the time ;P
lol that is not good, its a sign of warning and fear, no rabbit should ever do this, only occasion when i saw this was when a cat caught close to my rabbits cage.
my rabbit only does it for attension when i'm near its cage and I dont go to her she'll stamp untill i walk over to her and give her a pat. not all animals are the same you know
i can't let my bunny out of my room or he will chew on everything... DAMMIT BUNNY!!!! but he is still so adorable

It can mean that it is scared. OR that it's excited. OR horny.

maybe it's the dramatic, awkward pause of nothing going on making him think danger is coming? lol
