  • Please pray for me.

I need to open my heart to some issues in my life.

  • @rachelleanna3

    Praying for you right now!

  • Awesome!

  • God gives the vocation, no one without this vocation could live the life.

    God bless

  • God Bless Sister you and our holy catholic church

  • how you can focus on God without focusing on his creation? it is easy to love everyone in prayer, much more difficult is to still love people when you re with them

  • i have known several nuns ,i worked in a catholic hospital which was run by nuns they totally excepted my homosexuality . now that is a true love of god. they showed me nothing but love , and didnt judge me on my sexuality. but on the person i was. they changed my life for the better. i have moved on so far in life now , from that amazing experience.

  • @planes100 I have total respect for these Nuns. They took a bisexual/queer friend of mine in who was a heroin addict at the time, and helped her to get clean, totally without judgment. She lived with the Order for about 12 months as well, while they helped her to transition back into society (study, find work, that sort of thing). They were awesome to her. :)

  • yah, check her computer hard drive and see how pure she is....

  • @trkdigital Would be interesting to see whats on yours

  • i really dnt like how they say they r married 2 god.

  • I am not Catholic, but I have great respect for nuns. I'm afraid I would not survive living as they do, though I love the Lord just as much as the next person.

  • @SummerSunshine1988 everyone is called 2 God in a different way. He loves uniquness.

  • @casket095 : Very true.

  • this is very interesting! you should check out this site projectstranger dot organization (first 3 letters obviously and written like a website) and you could be in a book... I filled one out. They are looking for interesting stories and your seems like it would be a great one

  • please remove your comment. Its terribly insulting. I give you one proof that Our Lord Jesus Christ exists--- this nun here lives a life of penance, seclusion and solitude for the love of Him which is humanly impossible otherwise.

  • what a horrible insult. You will not last a day in a convent, where these beautiful women sacrifice themselves for souls. Will you ever find such people outside the Catholic Church? Will you ever live so selflessly? It is disgusting to see our society being so sex obsessed and like beasts who cannot appreciate such an angelic life. They pray for souls like you and me. God bless them! I will enter the convent myself later and blessed be God for giving a sinner like me such a desire

  • The love of Christ is there for any who open their heart to it.

  • i have always liked the lifestyle of nun but im a fella!

so i hope to become a preist or a brother

im only 15 so i have a good while to decide!

  • Good for you! We could do with more priests in the world =)

  • did u know that if family, friends, or other visitors want 2 c the nuns, there's a wall, curtain, or something in between them so u can't c them or c them through something? that's the way of a cloistered life.

  • Few questions guys hope somebody can answer?

When can they take that dress off ?

    Can they get married?

Can a nun have a baby?

and finally what about pope. Is he allowed to get married ?

  • 1. to shower, take a bath or for sleeping

    2. no, no cathlic nuns, monks or priests are allowed to marry (accept Jesus:-))

    3. no, it's a sin to have a baby before marriage (see2) nuns, monks, ... live in celebacy

    4. no also not

i hope that helped you otherwise just ask

  • Why are they not allowed to marry ? any reason or logic behind it ?

Somebody told me that they can't get married Because they are married to God. Is this true ? Thnx in Advance.

  • o god now it's getting complicated i'm not sure if i'm right now but i think so

for the first part yes with their wovs of profession with which they enter the convent for a lifetime they marry Jesus (=god).

The idea of celibacy (no marriage, sex, children,..) was invented in the middelage somewhere betwenn the year 1000 and 1500 because there were priests, bishops, popes,.. with more then more wifes and some mistresses . It could be that saint benedict in his rule wrote something about it

  • ok i understand now that all of them r married to Jesus (=God) But what about pope Is he married to Jesus (=God) too ? Hope u can answer.

    thnx in advance,

  • no the pope isn't married to jesus there the idea is too life in celibacy that was invented because of some missbehavings in the church some priets, bishops and popes were very bad moral exampels for their flok so the rule of celibacy was introduced

maybe if you have time read the rule of saint benedict of nursia it could be that he also wrote something on marriage but i'm not sure

  • The Pope (and priests and Bishops, too) are not married to Christ. They are married to the Church, which is the Bride of Christ,

  • @Tpal91 Orthodox priests can marry (before ordination).
