Yo! If u're down with that ILL HIP HOP and/or that GANJAH, then u need 2 peep the ORIGINAL vids on my channel, like "Pass The Fluffy", "Let Me Be Free", & "Roll It Up"! They will have you LUNCHIN', especially if u're BLAZED UP!!!!
classic shit...but why do people try and put shit on the beginning of videos to make out like they own it or this is my shit...its just another youtube video innit..
Jeru and OC fell off after their second albums. To be in my top 25, you have to have a good 10 year run in your career, not just 2-3 and fall off. Sun Rises, Word...Life, and Jewelz are all classics, though.
i don't think all that many had a good 10 year run of solid work to be honest. the person who has been completely solid throughout his career and i mean completely solid is masta ace. of course others have i.e nas, krs, redman, guru, ghostface, ll cool j, these are pretty much the only names which come to mind that have had a good solid career. but those last bunch have had hit and misses. masta ace on the other hand, all great classic material.
That's what I'm saying. Not too many rappers can stay relevant for 10 years and put out good material. Even with hits and misses, it's an exclusive club. Maybe it was a changing climate, label problems, who knows. Jeru and OC should've been around longer than they did. Talented MCs right there.
i went and saw jeru live last year and thoroughly enjoyed his set, one i'll never forget. just think about how many were solid through their WHOLE career, not many would say alot of names, but when jeru and o.c were at their peak, they are definately worthy of a top 20 of all time position.
damn this is my shit! why the fuck we dont have the same shit as diz on tv or on the radio? why? why rappers are just runnin after money, and just want to get rich and famous? fuck that! really hip hop lives on the streets! Hip hop means underground! and this song is CRAZY!!!
firstly how could you spell crooklyn wrong when it says it at the beginning of thevideo. secondly, its not underground hip-hop, its an old school jam that was massive back in the day and still remains one of the best and influential hip hop songs of all time. but thank-you for uploading.
My fav track on this soundtrack and the movie was ill too...Spike lee at his best.Doesnt get any more hip hop then jeru & oc with a beat by primo, miss these days.
Its beatz like this, & artist like those that make me miss hiphop. I pay respects a few times a year, and leave one red rose on its grave site each time.
@timmytoetags becasue this stuff is either over someones head, or they dont like to keep it real, they want to pretend everyone is rollin around in lambos
jeru absolutely destroyed in on this tune, man i love this tune but i jus lissen to jeru's verse now because u cant match that shit, dnt get me rong chubb n oc r ill but jeru jus showed wot a genius he is on the mic, one of the most underrated mc's!
