(cont..) perfect as you are (naturally HSP INFP) and are that way for a reason...a lot of times outside factors (parents, family, teachers) don't have that perspective, especially in American society, and it can leave you feeling very alone and frustrated and maybe downright crazy. You are not any crazy or alone, but actually highly gifted, so the key now is to take what you know about yourself and learn how to move TOWARDS that rather than away. That is where your freedom is.
The reason for this comes from your other video...your talking about being a HSP INSP. Especially if you were brought up in a household that did not nurture this truth about you, but made you create "survival" methods and the need to repress it (or even believe that it's bad and that you should repress it). I get it, and while the above comment by thechangingcolors comes off as rude to me, finding a good psychotherapist to help you weed it all out could be healthy. You are actually (cont..)
not strange at all. it is quite often i feel an urge to crawl out of my own skin. the reality of not being able to escape from myself is too complex to fathom. as if my own body was something foreign to me. an intense itch i simply cannot scratch is as best a feeling i can describe.
Don't know if this is the same thing, but I tend to periodically indulge my existential angst, spend days or even a week indulging my feelings of hopelessness, I think because these periods enhance the quality of the "recovery" period that follows. Otherwise my "functioning" periods feel quite pointless after a while, as opposed to the "recovery from self-destruction" that they are after my periodic indulgence.
I think this is normal. A lot of people feel a sort of panic to survive and become completely obsessed with going on and on, even wishing to be immortal. This collective panic to survive at all costs obviously frustrates people, because as we all know we're destined to die from the moment we're born. I would recommend contemplating your own death... what it would be like to go to sleep and never wake up...ever. You might be surprised how good you feel after you do this. Just a thought.
My professor explained the death instinct like this. I too have suffered with some anxiety and depression and have felt the exact same way. We humans understand death in way that most other animals don't. I believe other animals have a death instinct as well. Some people withdraw from the world socially and escape into solitude. Others develop an idea about ending pain through death. But this is just an idea of relief, if we learn other ways to manage pain/stress we can find relief. ur ok :)
you have no idea what your talking about...you being self-conscious or suicidal are not whats meant by the death drive, you need to be going to a psychologist not reading wikipedia articles on freud.
I believe in Freud's death instinct. It says as people we are all driven to kill our pain and perhaps the greatest way to do that is through death, so we all are subconsciously wired to find relief. I feel the same way you do.
reading Freuds work is good food for thought but in my opinion Freud pretty much sucks when it comes to actually fixing problems. Most likely quite a bit of repression on your part.We are not at the mercy of our unconscious minds. All thats needed is a systematic and incremental changing of false beliefs and facing those repressed desires or whatever to remove the energy blockages.
Hey I think BillyDKY and myself are talking about something similar. I could be completely wrong, but maybe not. Check it out and let me know what you think. Watch his first and if that's what you are talking about then you can watch mine. No need to really, he sums up what I was saying pretty well.
It's brave of you to bare your soul like this. Most people never do, because they are worried what other people would think.
Yeah, this is depression plain and simple. Depression breeds depressing thoughts. Happiness breeds happy thoughts. You should search for books that deal with exercise and it's impact on the brain. Read books that research on what really makes people happy. There are all kinds of studies I'm sure. Spark and Brain rules are good starts (at least for me). Look at some reviews. Read something stimulating and is based on much research.
Just hand in there. At some point people will start to come around, when they realize that the world, is not as simple as a few books. Or what a few scientists and psychologists deem how the world should be or behave.

feeling suicidal is not the same thing as the death drive. you should see a psychologist.

@thechangingcolors I never said I was suicidal. I was referring more towards self defeatism
