Gabriella is Latina/Hispanic
I thought she was Black, but the character is based on a real girl who was deaf and wrote to the TV show,
But she died before they got back to her.
So They
turned her into a character on the show to honor her

Well, technically Hispanic isn't a race. A Hispanic person can be of any race. Sad story about that poor girl. :(

Oh, how sad and this is a wonderfull tribute, It's very nice that she has been in The Little Mermaid series, I'm sure from above Gabriella knows she'll always be Ariels friend and she'll always be remembered as a mermaid by heart from the people that know her and love her.

I miss that show. All they show is reruns now. The mermaid with the pink fin is deaf. I thought this episode was very touching and really appealed to all the deaf kids out there. I was called "Wish Upon A Starfish" I believe. :)
