@Nstrumentalist1986 Wow! You must know everything there is to know about music! Please teach me your ways. I would love to hear you play sometime!!! Could you get me some comp tickets to your next performance???!!
Oh.. you can't? I'm sorry. I was totally convinced that you held a prominent position in a major orchestra, because you're clearly so knowledgeable and professional, to say the least. Please keep up with thecomments, I'm sure you're really going to succeed in life with that attitude!
@Nstrumentalist1986 Ooh! You play the CELLO!? Omg, that's so funny because EVERYONE PLAYS THE FUCKING CELLO. At least our instrument is interesting... Ya dick.
Very true but the most common things I said as a bassoonist were: "No, it's not a big oboe. It's a bassoon." "Fagotte. Yeah, that's my sheet music. Yeah, you're hilarious - never heard that one before." "This is as forte as it gets."
This video was great (minus the messed up sound). Is it sad that the exposition of the Mozart had me laughing the most? I can't count the number of times I've played that...
@AllyxPlaysBassoon Those are the gems of this vid. My roommate didn't understand why started laughing hysterically. I had to show him the reference in Sound in Motion and play the Marriage of Figaro track from McGill's Excerpt CD
"Wait, you actually practiced that? I just fake it. No one can even hear you!" Truth. Almost all of the hard orchestra licks are covered up by a million stupid string and brass players. smh. I'm...gonna go make reeds now...
@MarcoAJuarez Isn't that the truth. Audition excerpts really are the bane of my existence (besides making reeds). Also, the "Of course I flick that!" is so relevant. When someone first taught me how to flick, I was pissed I hadn't been using it all the years before!

The best part about this is the volume differences between the speech and the bassoon.
Knock Knock. Who's there? Bassoon. Bassoon Who?

speaking is way too low..bassoon playing made me deaf after trying to turn it up to hear the words. :(
