@kiba4545 This is actually a reference to an old story "the matchstick girl" where a poor girl tries to sell matches in the cold to make money. She ends up burning them for warmth and when she does she sees a ton of wonderful things she'll never have, she then dies. Just showing how sorry he feels for himself.
