Fantastic.....Saw Works Volume 1 Tour at Cobo Arena Detroit June 1st 77..........still by far one of the best shows I have seen in my life! Time magazine did a story on it and I have the copy ! THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ELP '77 Tour, I saw them in NYC, Madison Square Garden. This song was excellent as well as Fanfare. Watching this video brings back many, many memories.

I was at both shows in '77 at Cobo Hall in Detroit (one with the orchestra and later in the summer for the "Pirates" show). Best concerts I have ever seen. This is truly one of their best songs. Peter Sinfield outdid himself on the lyrics and to take this on live and have it sound like this? Magical!

I was at this concert in Montreal. I was 16 at the time and I will never forget it! When it comes to musical genius, very few if any bands come close to ELP.

Thanks for posting this. I was in the cello section over on the right. Chicago Soldier's Field was a hoot too, Foghat (!) and J Geils opened. 'Pirates" itself actually a decent composition, could have been Bear Stearns' theme song.

I saw ELP play Pirates on the same tour in Chicago in 1977. It was my 13th birthday and the best birthday present I ever received was tickets to the show.
