All costs together, we paid about € 3000,- pp. Thats inclusive flight, room, all drinks and foods, dives and dive equipment (16 days). And its every cent more than worth.
So, the costs aren't very high and its a experiance you won't forget the rest of your life. Just go there... its amazing.
Vilamendhoo is a very good option. Its not so expensive and when you like diving, its one of the best choices to go in the whole Maldives.
Well... mybe it will cost a litle bit more, but the prices are very reasonable. Just check the prices on the internet.
Vilamendhoo was ***+. and it wasn't to luxery, but just good. When you prefer to go to a spa hotel, than you will pay a lot more. By the way... I heard, Vilamendhoo has had a "face lift" but I don't know for sure.

A couple of years ago I also went to caribbean (Bonaire). It was also very laid back and beautiful... however... when I have to choose, I will go the Maldives. It's just far beyond imagination.
