@edgarrc yes and today they presented the new iphone case, that is regenerative too, the material of the paint is polyrotaxan, and its a fluid, it works like a glass window, you know, the glass is a liquid solid, but polyrotaxan works much faster.
applesfera-com/accesorios/nissan-presenta-la-primera-carcasa-autoregenerativa-para-iphone here's a link for you, it's on spanish, but you can see the case, that by the way is horrible in design.
It is not fake. Nissan have a Scratch Shield product that is used on Murano, 370Z, X-Trail and Infiniti. It uses nanotechnology to repair itself. Sometimes it takes a few seconds but can also take weeks to a full repair.
its called chitin paint, when the scratch hits sunlight the paint reforms, its made from the exoskeleton of like crab, lobsters(crustaceans) the paint is real and it will always make new paint if there is a scratch, the paint is real, and its the best paint you can have your super car or w.e painted if u dont ever want to deal with a scratch again, i own the paint on my car, ive never seen a scratch ever nor will i ever again.
@nando5561 No this is not a product this is just one of Infiniti's wonderful innovations, its called "scratch shield paint" which comes standard on most of the Infiniti Line-up. Its deffintely nice to know that its OKAY if some one keys your car, the car heals itself practically depending on how deep the scratch is. They where the fist luxury manufacturer to present this technology onto a car.
This is not fake. Scratch Shield paint works only for fine scratches, and does work better in warmer temperatures.
"Infiniti’s unique “self healing” paint contains a heat-activated resin compound that expands to “fill” fine scratches, making them disappear and maintaining the body’s high gloss finish."
Oh, since I was running out of room, I don't know the details but I know the warmer it is, the faster it works. At freezing or below it's a lot slower, can take a week. And if one does scratch past the clear coat down to the first "color" layer of paint, that will scratch and only the clear coat will "heal". It's meant for surface scratches. Still a nice feature.
To Thomasss1 and everyone else saying "fake". No it's not. Google "Nissan Scratch Shield Paint" or "Infiniti Scratch Shield Paint". And I own a 09 G37x Coupe, I know what's on my car. Anyone asking when it's avaliabe? Now. Best of my knowledge all Infiniti's and some, maybe all Nissans. Google it, it is real. :P Don't take the words of some guy on Youtube posting "fake" just because he can.
yeah, only thing is people will scratch your car on purpose just for the heck of it. And if you didn't get the right Nissan model... loooooooool Also I'd like to see that for myself. Maybe at Le Mondial de l'Automobile in Paris they'll have one.
But will it blend
