Uso became one of my fave UC pilots for some reason, i think at that age having the balls to face the war while still keeping your mind together even after experiencing what Uso experienced, not many can claim that, Even this boy here can teach Seed pilots a thing or two about manliness and maturity.

Usually I'd agree with the punch or slap or whatever, but the way they wrote this episode, I couldn't find anything that was that wrong with Uso's actions to warrent a punch.

@Kanuskiz Actually Seabook grew into a pilot and matured faster than any of them in UC. You just didn't get to see it much as the series was cancelled and made into a movie instead. Seabook never had to be punched for disobeying orders.

@Sargonarhes Seabook was already pretty mature before he hopped in the game. I could see him not needing to be slapped. Although in the movie there was no situation where he could really decide to not fight.

@Sargonarhes Honeslty I think Seabook was the best pilot of all. He helped repair a guntank, he only had flown several training suits and based off them figured out the F91. then he kicked lots of ass and beat a mobile armor within a short period of time.

@S0ryiu I would not disagree, he always was a favorite of mine. To think he's one of the few Newtypes that actually has a happy ending. Check the manga Crossbone Gundam where Seabook really becomes a top pilot, even though Zabine still outclasses him for most of the series which for a non-newtype is impressive. Seabook eventually becomes better than Zabine.

@deathc0rR3 Not exactly. Then the stories wouldnt exactly be as dramatic with an adult piloting it. Teenagers are at the age where they're looking for the right path to walk on for the rest of their lives. Combining that kind of instability + being thrown into a war gives the character alot of space to grow. 20-24 year old would be kind of boring.

Shiro Amada was, IIRC, 24 at the time of the start of 08th MS Team. That show was most definitely not lacking in drama, plot, character development, or sheer emotional impact.

@deathc0rR3 Look at it this way. Amuro and everyone started off as kids. But by the end of their stories theyve changed. Look at Amuro from the first gundam episode, to the finale movie in Chars Counterattack where he becomes a great leader to fight Neo Zeon. The idea of a simple kid just trying to use the Gundam to survive, evolving into a great leader is alone enough to keep this idea. I would probably not like it if adults were the main chars, they're pretty boring in anime.
